Figured. Simple fix but gahhh I hate they put them there. Had to replace one in the Mazda for the same reason.

Yeah have to open and shut a few times to get the dvd to shut off. Since these GMs have the auto shut off its not a big problem. On my mazda it had the opposite problem, it thought the door was open and played havoc with the security system.

I replaced a latch in a '09 Ford Escape. Not only did it take me a solid 45 minutes to extract the POS, but the replacement was over $350 at Ford!! WTF!!!

 

My '72 El Camino had the original latches in '11. Replaced the original hinges in '10. There's going to be ZERO availability in the used car market in 30 years. I think that's part of the manufacturers plan ...

Yeah definitely! They used like a metallic black/ gray paint. Looks really nice. Then you can see my paint skills from before on the tcase coupler and bellhousing [emoji23] [emoji23]

Installed me some bed lighting didn't get a chance to do the footwell lighting but there is always next Memorial Day.

Wife wanted to get more roses for her flower bed, so we drove over to Lowe's and picked up a bunch along with some lawn insect killer. Trying to get rid of these darn grubs that have infested our yard and brought the moles with them.

Getting Tow Beast ready for her first road trip...well first since I've owned it anyway. I will be going about 200 miles each way starting Friday. Something to do with my daughter's Girl Scout troop. I'm hoping I've been volunteered to only haul their stuff and let my wife handle driving the girls in her Jeep. Giggling girls on a 3 hour road trip is not a pleasant time for me.

I hear ya, I have 3 daughters..... Getting ready for an 8 hour drive (one way) to a wedding next month. Stocking up on ear plugs now....
