Starting to think its all modern cars now. I have seen a lot of post 2005 cars and trucks lately that look awful compared to a mid 90s car or truck.

I agree. I've noticed this as well. My buddy who's a bodyman said the same thing too. Yet another way manufacturers save a buck at our expense. Then there's the EPA coming down on paint emissions, resulting in poor quality paints. Then on top of all that, the new water-based paints make it impossible to paint at home anymore, unless you can afford to build and pay the electric bill on a heat booth. Completely impractical unless you plan to do it as a side business.

Might be good to you - good enough as they say - but, there was a time when it was much better, IMO.

When I used to wax my '88 S-15 when it was only a couple years old, the rag used to turn blue. Every time I waxed, more paint would come off. I think GM used Aqua Net as clear coat in those days ...

Also picked up a new die hard battery today

 

Post pics when they go on, these may be my next tire in that size or a 285/65/18.

I've got a night job today and since I can't sleep in the daytime anyway, I thought it'd be a good time to install the aero skin.

With 115 CAD it's quite expensive, but I didn't like the idea to buy a regular one with those metal clips.

 

It is a little tricky because this thing is so floppy.

And with the adhesive stripes you've got basically only one shot.

So I took my time and it turned out pretty good.

I just missed you. I was down for 4 wheel jamboree a couple weekends ago, but you wouldn't of had them installed then. Those 275/70/18's never rubbed with your 2" level and factory mud flaps did they?
