Crashed my truck into my garage door last night. Pretty pissed off. It didn't go all the way up (about a foot hanging down) didn't see it in the dark. Have some nice scratches. Need a new 3rd brake light and garage door. Luckily was able to get it back on the track to close it last night. Not fun getting in a truck this morning at 20 degrees

Changing just the filter is like pooping yourself and changing your pants.

Well currently I've had to add a quart every 600 miles so by time the little warning went off to change oil I was at about 3500 miles and had gone through about 7 quarts. Once I get this oil leak(s) figured out I will be doing proper oil changes. When I first got the truck it was a quart every 300 miles so it's getting better.

Had an issue like that in our 02 express 3500 van at work (has 280k miles). Turned out to be the oil cooler lines going into the radiator. Replaced lines and radiator, hasn't leaked a drop in 2k miles since we got it repaired. Used to be about every 300 miles was a quart to two quarts (more if we were towing)

That was my first step, I replaced those and that's how I got it down to 1 quart/600 miles. Before that I could literally watch the oil leak out of those lines. I think I got it down to three possibility (any combination of them as well), rear main, oil pan or the crankshaft position sensor. The worry I have is can I pull the CPS to replace the O-ring without doing a crank relearn when I reinstall?

Installed an Air Raid intake tube and a K&N filter.

Wish I had an answer for ya on that bud

Been my experience that any time that sensor is removed, a crank relearn is needed. Might get lucky and not need one, but I wouldn't count on that ...

Should be able to find either a small shop or someone on Craigslist with a Tech 2 that'll do it for cheap.

At least it didn't dent anything that I can see from the pics. If you just breathe wrong on my truck, it crumples like a friggin beer can ...

Got a nice ding on the rear quarter from just barely tapping it with a weedwacker. Then, got some scratches all the way through the clear and base to the primer, from friggin forsythia branches. Talk about weak paint.

No dents other than the garage door. Touched up the bare metal. Going to hit the other areas with my polisher when I can get back in the garage

I think led bulbs from a quality bulb marker, in stock taillights would be much more reliable.

Luckily it wasn't the big, heavy, old wooden garage doors we have out here - would've torn the light off and done quite a bit of damage.

I still have one old one, and one new one. The new one is weaker than a tin can. Only 6 years old and covered in dents already ...
