Took my uncle to look for a dress shirt, picked up some food, also stuff to make smores. Stopped for lunch at some Italian restaurant. Most importantly I got my tires sniff and bite inspected. :-)

Small job -Installed an extra mount and hidden power cord for my Escort max 360 detector so I can use it in the truck on trips.

Normally it lives in the Hellcat.

This seems to be a great detector with many features but it is huge.

Could be anything on these things today. Main reason I NEVER wash my engine or compartment. I'll never dare. Don't need the headaches.

Speaking of headaches ... did plugs and wires on a '02 Nissan Frontier, 3.3 supercharged. NIGHTMARE from hell! Welcome to the 21st century. 8 hour plug job, wtf.

All this for friggin SPARK PLUGS. :banghead:

Also fixed some idle issues it was having. The TPS on this thing has a dual function of a TPS, and an idle control. Thing looks brand new, but whoever installed it BUTCHERED the 4mm screws. Luckily I happened to have a whole box of hex head bolts in the same thread pitch. Miracles never cease. Used the new Autel to perform an idle relearn. Running great now.

Not impressed with the power output of this thing being supercharged and all. Felt pretty weak to me.

Isn't that the truck that used a supercharger to take a 160HP engine to a massive 190HP  . Nissan really dropped the ball on that one. Edited by SnakeEyes

I believe they only used an Eaton M90 on it. Same blower as the Pontiacs used with the 3.8

My favorite is the Nismo pickup with no rear locker

They got the idea from the Z71 2WD.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. My brother had the exact same but N/A engine in his Exterra - thing was completely sackless, and consistently got 13 MPG. Not a very efficient design. Reminds me of Chrysler's 360 in the early 80's.

Yeah, my wife's sister had a Frontier with the 3.3 160. Super reliable but rode in it one day and thought we were going to get killed when she floored it onto the highway. She had a crew cab long bed! Now she has a Trax. Guessing she's never had a speeding ticket. Edited by SnakeEyes

Oh wow, I can imagine! The supercharger in a regular cab short bed is barely enough power as it is.

Wikipedia says the blower only added like 30 HP! That's terrible! But those trucks were dogs.

LOL, yeah that's pretty pathetic! I'd bet with twin turbos, the OEM supercharger, and a big shot of NOS, it would still be under 300 HP.

And every Chrysler since :)
