Gotcha. What was the rating for the factory tire?

I believe it was 2400 pounds at 44psi, new tires 3000 pounds at 65psi. Obviously that's max. When I drive to work this morning I'm gonna see how rough the ride is, it's probably gonna be terrible lol so I'll drop it down to 40psi during the day.

And on a side note, my tpms sensors actually correctly display what the pressure is in each wheel, so I have that going for me

I did the math on my ATWs, based off the 35 psi I ran the stock tires at, I should run the ATW at 50 psi. I've got them at 55 currently, and the contact is very even.

Yesterday morning I noticed my oil change was coming up in less than 400 miles so I went ahead and changed it. Also dropped in a K&N air filter in this truck for the first time. Hear nothing but good things about K&N so I said what the hell.

Put my brandy new Blizzak DM-V2's on the truck, finally. Mounted and balanced them a few months ago when I sold the DM-V1's I had bought in '10 - finally got the wheels on the truck. At least it wasn't snowing today, like it was when I threw the winter wheels on the Volvo.

Inspected the brakes - fronts getting VERY thin - 30k HARD miles on the EBC Yellows. Lots of towing, and high speed braking. They've cut a pretty good groove into the rotors (also EBC). Should still have plenty of meat to turn them for the next set. Going to check them out again when I throw the summer wheels on. Not anticipating very many miles, since I only put 2,997 on the truck in a 1-year timeframe.

As for the rears, the leading shoe is getting thin in the center, while the trailing shoe is hardly worn. OEM GM shoes and drums (2nd set of drums). The trailing shoes still haven't worn to 100% contact - maybe 75% of the shoe is contacting the drum surface. Maybe the aftermarket can do a better job there ...

In other news, hit a milestone today in the Vulva ... err ... Volvo ... (sorry Sarah). :D

Not bad there dude

The local yokels I picked for my tailgate handle mega chickened out, and the manager at the dealer body shop is a class act, so I went with the dealer. They did a kick ass job, really pleased with how it turned out, no texture and really nice Deep Ocean Blue laid down :D

Also conquered my really weird TuneSelect issue. As often is the case with electrical quirks, an equally odd fix does the trick.

Today my XM Radio subscription expired. Going to wait until a new job comes along. Not going to enjoy the trash on FM in the mean time. Too much jibber jabber from the DJs, and way too many commercials. Sucks. And AM is full of political BS talk.

Just repaired a 22733524 FOB for an 07 Grand Prix. The young lady was very happy to be able to start her car remotely again! Not to mention locking and unlocking her doors....

I remember fixing the FOB on that '00 Jimmy I had. One of the first repairs I made regarding that wheeled toilet. The battery holder inside had detached from it's solder point on the board in more than one place. Soldered it back on, and was amazed it actually worked!

That should've been the warning to dump that pile ... because repairs like this were daily for the following 2 years.

Now it takes up space out back ...

When I changed the oil a few days ago I noticed the sway bar links were broken. Borrowed the neighbors compressor and tools to install new ones. He was bored and wanted something to do so he decided to do change them himself. LOL He's a very cool neighbor. Took him about 20 minutes and then he was bored again. HAHAHA

Finally got off my rear end and brought the trailer tires and OEM receiver to my storage house. Cleaned the garage, I actually do have a floor in my garage! Also rotated my tires. Harbor Freight's 12 ton jack stands are a bit too tall so I guess I'll be keeping my 6T ones for working on the truck. Hopefully the 12Ts will work on the boat and trailer still. The air/hydrolic bottle jack is also too tall to fit until the rear differential, which is fine I have a floor jack. Truck needs a bath, I'll get to it eventually. Other things I accomplished were setting up my new printer since my old one refused to stop jamming. The old printer also thought it could fly, it can't. It's lucky my range doesn't allow electronics to be shot. Put a new cpu cooler on the HTPC as well as a new psu. Had to take out a stick of ram but now I don't hear that stock fan spin up when I'm watching tv or movies. For once I don't feel completely useless, who would have thought working 2 almost 60 hour weeks would be what got me off my rear...

Well on Thursday morning went out and started the truck to get the frost off the windshield and both low beams were working came back out in about 10 minutes and the right one was out again, needed the truck for a work trip so I left out going couple hundred miles and back. On my way back about dark I noticed that my headlights were not working very well? Stopped got out and looked and the drivers side low beam was out also!! This was the 3rd set of bulbs in about 1 1/2 years. So I went to the dealer and asked about bulbs, while I was there one of the Techs came in and said that I should get the "kit" if I was having problems. The "kit" had two bulbs and two new plugs for the bulbs, so I replaced them with good butt connectors and taped up the connections so we will see how this works out. :jester:
