I changed out all the hoses on the 02. The original ones seemed to be in great shape but I figured I was on borrowed time. $86 bucks for the hoses on Rock Auto. Took me two three hours to accomplish. Refilled with fresh AMSOIL Antifreeze/Coolant. It took 2.5 gallons to fill it back up.

Yep - Amsoils got some good stuff. I use it in everything I own that rolls or rotates.

In SC last week I saw $1.84 for regular. Cheapest I've seen up here is $2.23. I gotta run high test in my 5.3 or it'll detonate itself to pieces when I tow - cheapest up here is $2.77. :banghead:

I'd never put that crap in my truck. Less power, less MPG, loves water - zero benefits.

More power. Lots more on the new GDI engines. Lots of people here run it with zero issues.

I don't understand how a computer can change the laws of physics. That's like saying the new gas engines will beat a diesel, just because the computer is engineered to run it.

Yep, less power and zero benefits. You may not like E85, but at least state facts.

I am - in MY truck and any other non computer controlled vehicle, you LOSE power .. because E85 has LESS BTU's per gallon than gasoline.

FACT. Look it up.

He's not wrong, less BTU per gallon. But 91 has less BTU per gallon as well. And you definitely make more power on 91. That said, I run ethanol free whenever possible, corn ethanol is an environmental nightmare.

Me too, when I go out of state. This state forces you to run ethanol diluted fuel. No gas available without ethanol, unless you go to an OPE dealer or speed shop and buy VP race fuel or something similar at $15 / gallon in a can.

Go ahead and tell me some facts of E85 on fuel injected motors controlled by a computer. Maybe you should "look that up". We can spin this however we want for both of us to be right. The point is, there are benefits to E85 for horsepower and torque numbers, especially if tuned correctly. There are also engines were there are absolutely no gains to be made, you are correct.

That's not how it works.

No wonder you hate computer controls, you have no clue how they work.

E85 absolutely adds power. It uses more fuel (by volume) to do so but its fact. A vehicle that can run E85 will make more power on it.
