Well I decided to buy something for the wife, I traded my 1500hd in for a 2012 equinox. :-( I will be driving the other truck I bought (most of you know which truck I'm talkin about) I'm still sad to get rid of the 1500hd, it was one hell of a truck. 160k kms not one single issue but one coil pack!!! That was it!!! Regular maintenance was it, for the things I out tht truck through and it still stood strong makes me stay loyal to GM. What a truck, it will be sadly missed :-(...

Anyways about the new whip for the woman LOL. Brand new equinox LT2 GFX package, basically everything but v6, sun roof and leather. It has ground effects package,navi/backup camera, heated seats, 4 cylinder, AWD, chrome 18's, step bars, undercoated, scotch guard, fresh wax job. Paid for the extended bumper to bumper GM warranty good for 6 years for $2500. Taxes in I paid $36k @ 0% financing!! What a deal...happy with gm's service as well. My woman couldn't be happier. Now I just can't wait to get into a 650hp duramax in a couple weeks :-D

Nice choice. I had an earlier version of an Equinox in 2005 and I loved mine.

Nice. My wife really wanted an Equinox V6, but got a Cruze because of how far she drives to work. I'll have to show her yours I bet she'll like it.

I wanted to get a jetta or passat TDI, but in all reality she does need a little more room. Two dogs and a 3 year old, nice to have the SUV style. And it doesn't hurt the equinox is rated very high in the safety department.

My wife has been looking at that and also the GMC Terrain.

Would you prefer the GMC over the Equinox if price wasn't a factor?

They are on the same platform, I didn't care. It was what my woman liked the most, she likes the look of the equinox...personally I liked the terrain. They are almost identical mechanically...

We like our 2LT Equinox. The only complaint is the 4 cyl is a little busy and under powered especially when we have 4 or 5 ppl in it. On the flip side it gets good mileage for an AWD vehicle. I guess you can't have the best of both worlds...

Ya I did some research and the v6 gets considerably lower MPGs. Also i found out that the AWD isnt FULL time, most of the time its front wheel drive. It only puts power to the rears when a wheel looses traction in the front. But either way i knew 4 cyl would be better on gas, So we opted for the 4 cyl. It is pretty gutless and revs right out LOL. But I can say we officially hit 150kms(city driving) last night still hasnt burnt 1/4 tank!!! it's gonna damn good on fuel. She likes it, I told her inwould

Only drive it alone if we tint the windows black ahahah
