Tubular bed rails on linex bedliner

I'm looking to get the putco tubular bed rails but am looking for peoples input on it. i have the new 2012 silver ice color silverado. the only chrome i have on the truck is the front and rear bumpers. do people think that it will still look good on the truck or will the silver and crome be to close and not look so good.

i should also say that i have a linex bedliner that is also over the rails. so what do people think?

 

has anyone installed the tubular bed rails over a spray in liner? does it work alright or is it hard to get it level or it to fit right being it will not be a flat surface?

I know a few people with over the rail Linex with the tubular rails, but the chrome does look weird with the dull black rails. If all you need them for is a tiedown, there are lots of under rail removable tie downs that will be out of sight.

I have the putco rails over a spray in bed liner and the rails fit fine and it doesn't in my estimation look wierd.

Done it with bedliner over the rails, with the OEM coffin rails. Had to use a little sand paper and knife to cut out some excess liner that got in the stake hole, otherwise I had no dramas.

That spikey thing you call a brushguard is ugly as sin.....

 

As for the OP, when I had My 02 I had the Putco bed rails (black) and when I got the Bed Linex'd they fit fine. I think black would look better then chrome.....but you could get the bed rails Linex'd also.....that would look...clean

I have the chrome Putco Locker Rails on my truck. And I have the over the rail Line-x spray. No issues with the install. Since my truck is a dark color, I think the horizontal chrome rails compliments the chrome door handles and chrome tube steps. For your truck's color, it may look good.

I like chrome, i just wished previous owner hadn't put spray liner over the top of the bed
