Stripped the bike apart tonight, now I gotta decide what I want to do with it.

51.6K on the clock now. 15 years old from her 2008 build date. Three years since the last report and just a couple of thousand put on her. 360 miles of that yesterday with a trip to Peoria to pick up some fluids from Hoerr Racing. 60/65 mph trip netted 33 mpg. Washed and waxed and a full under hood wipe down then put to bed again. Had her out once earlier this year for a hundred and an oil change. Switched back to Red Line HP from AMSOIL after seeing the internals of Pepper at 175K on that Red Sauce. 😉

Congrats! What mods have you done so far?

Well...let's see. I made a prepurchase punch list and so far have this much done:

1.) Weather Tech floor matts. Front only. They don't give those away.

2.) Full PPF nose, A pillars and a foot of roof plus door sills, edges and handle pockets and mirror backs, truck ledge.

3.) Level 2 paint correction and G3Ceramic coating including the PPF

4.) Added camber eccentrics and gave it a good alignment.

5.) Sylvania H-11 Silverstar Hi/Lo bulbs

6.) Moved on from Mitsubishi to Red Line Lubricants and Purolator filters

7.) Changed factory preset OLM length from 12,000 miles or 13 months to 3,750 miles or 6 months

8.) Came with LED floods.

Yet to do on my original list

A.) Fluid Film (hottest item on my left to do list)

B.) Ceramic IR/UVA/UVB blocking Window Tint

C.) Seat protection covers. Something more Rex friendly. My boy sheds.

D.) Block and pan heaters / CVT cooler

E.) Canton Pre-lube system

The entire original list went/is toward protection/safety.

bric-à-brac:

1.) iOttie phone cradle and shielded USB cable

2.) Black bath towel folded up over the E-brake area so Rex has a pillow while he furs up my front seat.

My latest addition, imported it from Nevada back in July. 2018 JGC 3.6. Guy went crazy checking the option boxes. Air suspension, pano roof...it can even park itself if I knew or cared how to use that feature. It’s like a slightly more reliable Range Rover. 😂IMG_3393.thumb.jpeg.6490c1afdf798ebc2eb977001cef1e02.jpeg

Right away I did the filters and all driveline fluids with Red Line, spark plugs, coils, oil cooler, serp belt & accessories, PCV valve and motor mounts while it was still warm out. Fresh set of Michelins. Good as new in every way.

Took her out yesterday for her monthly drive. The older I get the more I appreciate shifting gears. It’s a blast.

My wifes ride and my other ride I use on the weekends is 23 Tahoe Z71 with 6.2L and air ride.   Had to make it look kind of like my Trailboss so I used edgymods lift links and set it a little over 1" lift all around.   Then mounted LT275/60/20 Falken AT3W tires on Voss Trailboss replica rims.

It is just enough to give it a more rugged look without affecting ride quality.

Going out today for emissions inspection and yearly oil change at the dealership today. I put less than 200 miles on it this year even driving once a month. Still drives and smells new.
