Holy Hell! You were getting 21 on the highway with that much lift? Certainly not at 70?

Sorry, double post.

With the basic Diablo Tune I was seeing 17 mpg and if on a flat interstate up to 21mpg.

Im playing more with my custom tuning from Lew so right now its a bit low but am working on finding the right spot to give me more power but with the mpg too

Lol. I just didn't think that 21mpg was possible at that height and speed!

Its all how you drive really. When I drove my truck from here to St. Augustine my average was between 16-18 with the lower end up in the mountains of NC

I did the Rough Country lift. 2.5, it was the 1/2 inch spacer on top of shock and then the 2 inch U shaped piece that moves the bottom shock up. No rear block change. Its all stock. My truck measures almost level front and back. 39.7 front and 40 inch in center wheel well in the back. This is a picture front stock to leveled to 295/55/20 tires. I also have a YouTube video to show my lift.ab8bc7a3bb0f1f4194e543cc2323ce9f.jpg

What's your YouTube lol

Did the place that aligned your truck reset your steering angle sensor? It HAS to be done when you do an alignment on these new trucks.

Well, it has been awhile, but I finally got my truck over at the dealer to reset the steering angle sensor. The tech there also said it needs to be reset after an alignment and if you are going to change ride height. Unfortunately the reset did not fix the issue on my truck. Unless I need to drive it to re calibrate. I just drove it a few miles so far. I checked in an empty parking lot afterwards if it worked. If I turn the wheel all the way while making a turn at a low speed, the traction control kicks in. That is the intention of the system and how it works, but not at such a low speed. if I was flying into a turn or hitting rough terrain I could see it kicking in.

What do y'all think the best 4" lift is? Getting my truck soon and trying to decide? And details on why you think so and so is better

Thanks. I'm coming from a 2013 silverado with 7" RCX. The gas mileage was terrible. I'm looking at around 21mpg's in the new truck at times. Not even close to that in the 13.

I just bought a new 2014 Silverado, and I am trying to decide what to do. Eventually I want to do something like a 6 inch lift, but I am going to hold off until after I pay the truck off to do something so radical. For the time being, I am trying to decide rather to just level it, or to do a 2.5 inch lift kit. I would rather do the 2.5 inch lift kit, but I am concerned about what effect this will have on gas mileage.

So, anyone that has leveled their 2014, as well as those who have done around a 2.5 inch lift kit, could you please inform me about what affect you have seen on fuel economy?

The 2.5 level will do nothing to your gas mileage. It's the tires that will reduce it some but not a whole lot. I'm seeing around 21 highway and 17ish with 35's
