Besides adjusting the coilovers to the max in the front, what else could I do to raise the front end to match the rear?

remove the rear blocks which will look goofy imo. Other than that you'll need an actual lift

A smaller rear block yes, but a body lift has no effect on the height or geometry of suspension. So you could definitely do it for added height but for leveling out your truck just get a smaller rear block.

Guy's, I'm considering a small lift/level. I'd like 3-4" overall height increase in the truck. I've read through this 100x and I still have some questions/concerns

 

My concerns:

- no cutting, no mods that wouldn't be able to return the truck to stock if need be.

- transfer case drop is almost a must considering this height, correct?

- RCX seems cheap and weak with the worst quality ride from the comments

- would prefer to stay with stock shocks

- willing to spend ~$1500CAD, give or take

- looking to fit 285/70/17 +6 offset with no clearance issues at all (255/80/17 on stock offset as well) These almost clear on stock suspension so I'm not overly concerned In this area

- maintain small amount of rake, as I do occasional towing and hauling

- I would say 80% hwy, 20% offroad use

- 2016 Silverado CC, LT Z71, w/ steel control arms

- ready to purchase this week.

- looking to achieve the big/bulky look without sacrificing ride quality

 

My questions:

- what are my options?

- which of these options is the best quality/ride/warranty/has parts readily available?

- which of these options require cutting of the cross member/x-fer case brackets/brake brackets etc?

- can I get away with just a shock upgrade to achieve this lift?

I would say the Zone 4.5" is your best option in that price range.

 

As far as leveling, you really shouldn't level beyond 2.5". After that you should be looking st a lift kit with new knuckles, cross members, and drop brackets NOT one that levels and has a diff drop because those do nothing for TRE or BJ angles

4.5" Zone cuts the control arm mounting knuckle as well as the differential housing. Not interested.

 

I agree above 2.5" front lift it should be a proper kit.

I might be inclined to push this option slightly as it won't involve cutting and shouldn't sacrifice ride quality.

 

Aside from this a 3-4" suspension lift that has best quality/ride/warranty/etc kind of contradicts cutting. I'd recommend Zone all day long, I have a BDS in my truck as zone wasn't offered and I love it. The cutting was 100% worth the warranty/ride quality that came along with it in my opinion.

I know zero about body lifts. I reallllllllly want to run the C rated Raptor 315/70R17 KO2's, as they are cheap, light and I don't need an E tire as I don't tow/haul anything with great frequency that would require them.

 

I'm planning on coilovers to lift/level and greatly improve ride quality. From what I've read, coilovers, proper backspacing and even hefty trimming will not be enough to run these undersized 35's. I don't want to go with a full 4-6" suspension lift so I'm considering coilovers and new UCAs plus a 1.5" body lift.

 

Will a body lift defeat the purpose of going for coilovers to improve ride? I care more about ride/performance than I do looks.

 

Just wondering what, if any, the negatives are of a 1.5" body lift.

Readylift has a 4" SST kit with UCA's and bushings, what the verdict on this kit? Price is reasonable too.

He's wanting to run 35's, that kit says 33's are the max.

I was replying to my question, not CMSearle2.

 

I think I may opt for bilsteins and a 0.5" front spacer and small rear block.

How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
