I also just bought mcgaughys 7-9" black SS kit. And tires and wheels 35"nitto trail grapplers and 20/9/+18 cali offroad Americana wheels (not a fan of deep dish rims) I have a 2014 High Country all this will be going on I'll be posting pictures at the end of the month. I do have a set of blisteen shocks laying around I was thinking about putting on for the rear but not sure if they will work I gotta do some more browsing on the blisteen thread.

Here is my submission to this thread. Its my 2016 GMC All/Terrain 4x4 6.5" Zone with AAL, 35.4" Duratracs on stock 20" Denali wheels.

Like wildchevys said, it is about 1/2inch high in the front, mine is right at that in the front with my 6inch bds struts and 5inch rear blocks, but the only way you notice that is if you measure. To the naked eye it looks dead level. I'm also very OCD and I can't even tell.

I'm running this kit and also have a 1/2" higher in front. I have a crew cab. I'm told with the crew cab you can add a leaf to the block option and it levels it. I didn't do this as I've also heard from others that it compromises ride quality. Others tell you it rides better. To each their own. I have left it with a bit of a lean. It was weird going from a 2" rake to a 1/2" cali lean but I quickly adjusted. A leaf is cheap and easy to add/remove so might try it. Do you have a crew cab? Regular cab?

Hey guys, So I've been doing nothing but checking over these forums for the past 4 months. I am set on getting the Zone 4.5 Lift, with some 20x9 Fuel Assault +20MM wheels. I just had a few questions about tire size and rubbing.

 

I want to get the 295x65x20 Toyo MT's, just because the 35x12.5x20 would just stick out a little too far for my trucks paint job safety. I am just curious if it's mainly the height or the width of the tire that makes it rub more. I'm sure both contribute to the fact, but I am just curious if the 295x65x20 would fit better than the 35x12.5x20. They are .1 inches taller, but .9 inches thinner. I also hope they wouldn't look too thin. Anyone know which tires would be the ones rubbing and because of height or width? Thanks!

its a combination of tires and wheel width. The 295s are probably more the ticket for you

Im running the same lift as you. I am running 20x9 +1 fuel mavericks. At first I was running Toyo Open country's in a 33" size and did not rub or need any trimming at all.

 

For my liking the truck with those 33's had the "rubber band" look to it which is not my thing. So i went with the same Toyo's but in 35's. The 35s did require very slight trimming on the inner fender mud flap area with you can't even see. I also had to zip tie and pull the front fender liner just a tad bit.

 

With the 35's and 33's the front wheels do stick out past the fender about 1" and the rears stay pretty flush with the fenders. So far i havent had any rocks thrown up and messed the paint cause of the front fenders but there's plenty of tire shine and dirt that does get on my doors and mirrors.

Thanks for the response man. How wide are your 35's? Also do you know the height of the truck to the onstar antenna? I have 7' garage, so I think i'll be ok.

I'll check in a bit and let you know. It should fit fine. When i go to my parents place the truck fits fine height wise and its 7' i think

12-14ish, but there are a lot of variables

i'm getting about 18 mpg on highway, haven't gone through the tank yet but so far it isn't as bad as i thought it was. don't get me started on city, not too good lol...but highway on 3.73's not too bad.

 

zone 6.5 w/ method nv 20's and bfg ko2 35's

If you are light on the gas, usually 65 mph. I notice it isn't so bad. But yes around 12 to 14 ish.

      The "source" a woman, that writes the article is not a far right person. She's pretty well known "car person". She writes her own stuff, but yes it is initially posted under the Blaze, because they purchased the right to post it first, before it is posted on her own sites. It doesn't mean the info is any less valid. the article itself is not political It's not meant to discount any current actions in the Iran   Only posted the link because that's what has to be done to be legal to post the article. The Blaze is not a site I use. Lauren Fix's page pointed me there and I have to use a bypass method to look at the article since I'm not about to join the site. I've posted articles over the years from the Lefty sites, seems you didn't have a problem with that.   But you do you, keep looking at everything only through left/right lenses.   The 3 or 4 of you that participate in the some of the comments had ample chance to read everything. Other members that don't care for it, send in comments, because as they will point out, political talk is discouraged. Both "sides" complain

      Not a distraction. You miss the point of the article. It's not just for today's situation. Another way AI is being used and it may explain some of the prices changes when there is no apparent event to cause a 25 cent jump out of nowhere, only to immediately, the next day, begin to drop by 2 cents and so on. These situations were happening before the Iran thing fired off.   I used to be in the retail gas/service business. Pretty much a $1 increase in WTI would increase my price by maybe .10 cents. Now WTI can go down and retailers can get hit with a .35 cent increase out of nowhere.   I thought it was interesting read, since this is being used on all products we buy now
