Wow all i got to say is Elite Engineering is a great company and great customer support. You can't go wrong with this can. I got my about a month ago and now they have a specific bracket to mount it in the extra battery tray or on the brake booster like the RX can. They are sending me that battery tray bracket and extra hose for free since I have just the "hockey stick" looking bracket attached on my drivers head on the engine now and it rubs on the vacuum hose a little on my truck now. Still not a bad install but a specific bracket would be wonderful. And to answer a post above you mount the connection under the throttle body to the top inlet of can and the side outlet of can to the connection half way down the intake manifold. This is the correct way.

I have their gen 1 can on my 03' top quality for sure. Could you post a picture of the battery tray mount when you get it in?

Steve at Elite Engineering just sent me a detailed installation guide yesterday. I found it to be very helpful. My Elite can is on its way.

These instructions show the can being mounted to the master cylinder housing. I asked Steve if i could mount mine in the empty battery tray behind the driver's side headlight. He said no problem and is including the proper bracket to mount it there with my order.

I also asked Steve if I needed the larger can. He said the regular can will have no problem going from oil change to oil change without needing emptied - even in cold climates where I am at.

He was very helpful.

They must have just recently got those docs together. Steve answered a number of questions for me about a month ago when I went to order mine but they didn't have instructions for the ecotecs then. He was very quick to respond, no complaints.

But if you have the same regular size can I have you might be surprised how fast it fills up. I had mine full after a week and only 350 miles. It's mostly water but I'm now dumping an oz or 2 every few days. I live in MI. Honestly I really like the can but would prefer one that held a much larger quantity.

Suggestion . Why dont you thread a petcock on the bottom and just open it once a week? I have one on my camaro and drain it every oil change.

Here's a picture of the Battery Tray mount. This set-up is shown with the Black AN swivel hose fittings.

Was bored, so I drain the Rx cc at only 301 miles after install and it was just under 2oz.

I was shocked when i saw all that nasty stuff in there. I thought I might just have enough to cover the bottom of th can.

Ok, so what is the consensus? What brands are the best bang for the buck these days? I'm looking to replace my Jegs catch can because it's too small...only get about 300 miles before its full.

I'm looking to stay around $125.

There are a lot of good Catch Cans on the market, there's also a lot of junk. Some are just empty beer cans without any internal baffling for the oil vapor to condense on. Be sure to choose a Catch Can that's been around for a while, with good engineering and design. Also, one that's easy to inspect and/or empty.
