2014 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 liter. I went with the same can you have because I like the looks of it and seems to probably hold more oil so less drain intervals and price was a factor

Mine is a 2010 6.2, not sure if the plumbing is the same.

Been in contact with Elite Engineering for the past couple weeks to get them to make a kit for the K2. They had a truck in today to test fit one of their cans and a way to mount it. I just ordered a can from them. I will post up pics when the can is installed on my truck.

I used hose clamps. Just as extra security. The hoses seemed to slip onto the fittings on the engine pretty easily....I could see them slipping off just as easy without a clamp. Just be careful you dont snap off the fittings on the engine, they are just plastic. A member here did and had to replace his entire intake. Not a cheap mistake.

Think I've got it figured out if I'm wrong can someone please correct me on the 14 5.3 there is a connector on the driver side half way down the intake and one just below the throttle body I take the first hose from side of intake connect to inlet on catch can and the exit of catch can to bottom of throttle body! Is this the correct hose route?

I think you are thinking backwards just like I did. Exit of the can goes to the drivers side. Take a look at chevy2tuff2006's post #622. He explains it pretty well.

Steve at Elite Engineering just sent me a detailed installation guide yesterday. I found it to be very helpful. My Elite can is on its way.

These instructions show the can being mounted to the master cylinder housing. I asked Steve if i could mount mine in the empty battery tray behind the driver's side headlight. He said no problem and is including the proper bracket to mount it there with my order.

I also asked Steve if I needed the larger can. He said the regular can will have no problem going from oil change to oil change without needing emptied - even in cold climates where I am at.

He was very helpful.

My mishimoto can was about half full with 1,235 miles. Mine would definitely not make it between oil changes. I like that it has a sight glass so I can quickly check it.

Got any pics so I can see how you hooked the hoses up and where?
