2 clutches , heater core , ac compressor is starting to leak 1 water pump and 1 alternator

bought a new 2014 Silverado , giving the 2000 to my grandson . I knew the original owner he is a good friend . 90% miles highway the best part I was averaging 22 mpg

Now y'all boys are speaking my language! None of this, "I've got 36,000 trouble free miles on my truck" mess. Of course you do. A Yugo would about do 36,000 trouble free miles! I like seeing this real mileage! That's wha' defines a good truck.

My 97 S10 had 280K on it when I traded it in for my 03 Silverado. It had the 4.3 and all I ever did on the engine was a full tuneup and a water pump.

I hear you, I had that debate at work one day. Everyone talking about 40k miles and all is great....please, my truck had 50k before it was even 2 years old. Now at 134k miles, not driving as long to and from work but still the miles are getting up there. Next up 200k...

I've got 250k on the burban and it has seen more and done more than a semi and baja truck combined over those miles, all original drivetrain. Just normal replacement stuff like u joints and fuel pumps, etc.

Looks like my "Next up" mileage marker isn't going to happen. Truck wrecked...136,600 miles. Sorry Zach, guess I'll have to start over again.

Mine too!

I rolled over 306,000 miles on the way into the office this AM.

I replaced the original 4.8L motor with a junkyard 5.3L at the 220K mark, but the trans and rear are untouched and original. Other than that, just routine maintenance and wear items replaced...

I just chronicled my maintenance history and my upgrade list for this year in another thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/148370-gmt800-talk-chime-in/?p=1553630 so I wont repeat it here.

But I'll gladly post the picture I took of it after I washed it the other day.

I only have 145,00 on my 2006 Sierra, but my 1990 Toyota 4x4 has a little over 360,000. Speedo pic below shows it at 359,00 and change, but I've added a little since then. Think about it, that's 14 1/2 times around our planet.

The adjuster is suppose to look at it no later than today, but with all the thunderstorms and rain, it probably won't happen.
