What's your lift setup?

Never been a Dodge fan but I thought the ram 1500 was supposed to have a more plush ride than the GM twins. Not the case?

4 in BDS lift, Fox shocks, 2in spacers on the rear, 35x12.5x22 nitto ridge grapplers

Ditched the Pro-Comps for some OEM GMC Sierra 18's  Wasn't feeling the black wheel look. Perhaps if I dechrome it would work, but the most I'm planning on doing is the mirror caps and door handles in silver.

Looks good! I like those GMC wheels. I have the same color and in my opinion black wheels don't look all that great on silver. I'm thinking about going with machined 17" Method wheels like this

I was very close to pulling the trigger on the Method 301 - Standard (Machined),  but the GMC wheel deal was too good to pass on!

*IF* I ever lift this truck, the machined Method will be my wheel of choice, but only if I need the room.

I need running boards, mud flaps, bigger rims and some steps. Maybe a cover too. I think that'll dress it up a bit. So far I love the truck! Picked it up yesterday 2018 LT double cab 5.3. I also love it's ability to stick to my driveway when it's turned on it's side.

I've been looking on Craigslist every day for some decent 17" or for a really good deal maybe 18" factory wheels. I usually don't mind the factory styling and yours are about as good as it gets. I want to soften up this NHT ride a bit so I'm not constantly jarring the truck with every seam in the road. I'm thinking a 17" tire for a nice cushy tall sidewall and P rated tires.

My Fallen Wildpeak AT/W's have performed as good as any tire I've ever had on a truck. I'm thinking even though they are only a extra load passenger tire and I run them about 28-30 # it's 20" wheels and low profile . That and stiffer springs in the rear.

I don't remember my 2003 GMC 2500 HD riding this stiff. Of course I had D rated 285/75/16  Goodyear MTR's on it.

I really miss those tires.

Got a new Z Series installed today. Even came with touch up paint that they actually sprayed the top with. Too bad car companies can’t do that.

I did the same with my 2015 Crew, same wheels with some Toyo Open Country 34.6" tires.  Really like the look of those wheels on my Brownstone 4x4.

    • I understand that. The price is what it is, though. The price is what oil costs today, where our choices have led us, where supply is, and where demand is, in the market that is. Speculation is for futures, what we think the price will be, but with incomplete information at the time the price is forecast. I know you know this, but you appear to be intent on making a secondary point here about what you think the market could or should be, if only other choices.   In 1975 it became illegal to export US Crude. I'm conflicted on what the best answer is. Free markets allow export in pursuit of profit. But there is also a lot to gain by producing and consuming our own oil here. How do you reconcile it?
    • That sir is a choice. And even if it were not for all the reasons stated, this disruption has zero to do with the reality of the actual logistics and everything to do with the greed of SPECULATION. Spot price is irrelevant to reality.
    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.
    • The turn signal/multifunction switch is faulty.  I've seen a few of these go bad at work.
