I'm not talking about just Alberta, I don't even live in Alberta. I fly back and forth every 2 weeks, back home I think I've seen maybe 2 not including mine.

Regardless people want a diesel go buy one a new loaded diesel is worth more then $60000 though, I wasn't interested in a diesel so I bought this.

Of course you don't live here... you work in the transient capital of the province that in no way represents the province. I won't pay 60000 for any pickup truck ever as I like to invest in things in the 50 grand up bracket that make money and not lose. Maybe a CTS v..... but I doubt it.. I wouldn't drive it hardly anyway.

Case still remains these 2014s aren't moving. They look nearly identical to the previous gen and really most people look at the price and lack of incentive and move on. Ford and Dodge sell.... GM doesn't. I am willing to bet the average consumer sees nothing new at all... same style, same engine displacements... think its the same truck lol.

You seem to really have a hate on for these trucks lol I'm no disagreeing with you, there not moving they because of a lot of the reasons you just stated.

I personally don't think they look like the past generation but that's my opinion.

Again agreeing with you that $60000 for a truck is really expensive and if I wasn't 22 and had nothing else to pay for I probably wouldn't have bought it.

How am I hating.... by saying they are overpriced and not moving..... that's the rest of society, not me. Would I ever buy one though? No. I will have to buy my apprentice a truck in the next couple years and it will be newish... because I don't want to deal with it. It will be an F150... or a cheap low mile gmt800 and just fix it... who knows.

Nothing wrong with the Ford's. If I bought a Ford it would be the 5.0 over the Ecoboost. A couple family members have Ecoboost F-150's and are having some intermittent stalling issues, along with much less than advertised gas mileage. You can make those Coyote motor's run strong, we have them at work and they run great. Regarding the Ram's, I just traded a 2012 in for my Silverado in July, they have some work to do to catch up to the chassis/driveability of the new GM trucks. Hard to explain, I just like the feel of the new GM trucks, feels good from the drivers seat.

I test drove an 11 F-150 5.0 before buying my current truck. Lets just say that if I could have gotten it cheaper than my Silverado it would be in my driveway right now.

I wonder if owners of luxury cars complain about price all the time. It doesn't matter what gm does there will be people to complain. You don't have to buy the top of the line truck. If you want cheap go for the base model.

Or buy something else for a better value for their dollar. Comparing your truck to a luxury car... please. Two different mindsets and markets... and your truck has a long ways to go to be in the luxury segment.

Take 2010... I built and ordered a mostly loaded extended cab nht. So SLT with a sunroof, 6 disc, 6.2 nht among other goodies. Out the door in Canada was $40972. You mean to tell me that the $60000 or whatever guys up here are paying for a loaded truck is justifiable..... yeah I don't think so. At the time my trucks sticker was $52000 something. It will change. Just watch.

I never compared my truck to a luxury car. I'm sure the 2015 fords will be the same or more. It sounds like you got a good deal on your truck. Rebates will come for these trucks. People complain that chevy didn't do this or that then complain that the truck cost to much.

They charge whatever people will pay..... which is fine. The thing is when they rot on the lot because people don't pay it people start to wonder what the strategy is. I know.... massive rebates lol. I did get a good deal on that 2010... I left it on the lot lol.

That is why GM is getting its clock cleaned in truck sales right now. Good thing is GM can and will fix this as stocks continue to climb and sales stay slow. One of our local high volume dealers is already at a 170 day supply of 2014 Silverados. Running out of room to stack them. Within the next year model or two they will have to refresh the truck as it just is not appealing as "new or improved" and the non fan boy kool-aid drinkers.

I have been all over my state and compared the Ram to the GMC. Yes the ram is nice blah blah blah, no dealer and i mean no dealer would give me the price that GMC gave me for my all terrain. If i wanted the to lower the price of the Ram then they wanted less features, so i don’t buy any of this crap!

To people who keep saying the new trucks don't look different enough-

How many average buyers do you think will be able to differentiate between a 2004-08 F150 and a 2009 to current? They didn't get the new engines with the refresh, the first year had the carryover mod motors. Or how many will be able to tell the difference between a 09-12 and 13+ Ram? They look the same but the 2013 is essentially a new truck. Yet Ford leads overall in sales and Ram is growing like crazy. And this was true earlier in the year before any price advantage.

The only thing that moved the gmt900s was the big discounts on them like what I said about that 2010. So you have to most people the same truck... quite frankly squared off with an ugly front end and its suddenly 15 grand more... not much of a sales strategy. When they start taking 12000 off to blow them out they will sell... maybe.

People don't like gm trucks... hard pill to swallow on a gm site but it shows in what they have to do to get them off the lots.

I don't have any favorites when it comes to brands. I try to look at reviews, ratings and personal taste and decide in that manner. GM has a stick up their ass about the value of the current trucks just like Ford did when the redesigned models came out. They will eventually drop in price and so on and so on. In my opinion, none of them (GM, Dodge, Ford, Toyota) is worth that much money. I bought my truck new for less than half of what these new ones cost in 2009. It does not matter who it is, the latest anything will always cost more.

You guys are getting a little crazy...people don't like GM trucks now? Are ya kiddin me? They sure as hell sell plenty of them, oh and when it comes to "luxury" trucks there's the Denali and everything else - no arguing that whatsoever, the "denali" anything has a cult following.
