Go into phone and then Bluetooth. Select setting of the gmc intellilink and turn on the Show notifications setting and it will work when connected to truck after that.

For number 2 you have to push lock button on key fob and then press again and hold. Five seconds and they fold in. Same in reverse but with unlock to open or roll down windows.

2 questions for 2015 GMC SLT:

 

1. I have the text alert message option on my infotainment screen and it is ON, but nothing happens when I receive a text. What am I missing?

 

2. I have the auto fold option for the mirrors also on the infotainment screen, but when I exit, nothing happens. What I am missing there?

I'm talking when I exit the truck. I read in the manual that this function automatically folds in the mirrors when I open the door. Mine isn't doing that.

No they don't do that. It is only the way I posted before. You have to use the key fob to fold them in.

Press and hold the Tow/Haul button for at least three seconds. When you release the button, you will see a note in the DIC that Grade Braking is disabled. Repeat the process to turn it back on.

 

Turning off the truck will cause it to default back to "on" when started again.

The places I've found say to use the fob to fold.

 

This:

 

Auto Mirror Folding

If equipped, with the ignition off,

press and hold Q on the RKE

transmitter for approximately

one second to automatically fold the

exterior mirrors. Press and hold K

on the RKE transmitter for

approximately one second to unfold.

Auto Mirror Folding

When on, the outside rearview

mirrors will automatically fold or

I have tried folding my mirrors in by the remote but it does not work...The only way I can fold them in, is to press the button on the inside of the door before I get out??

i believe it's for holding a business card or insurance card or something. Not really practical though.
