So to clarify the GM Borla system should/will not have any drone in V4 mode? I want a subtle growl, no drone, and do not want to diable V4.

I haven't installed one but it comes with the same valve that your factory exhaust has. It should be 100% drone free. I haven't heard anyone complain about the GM Borla kit (GMPP exhaust).

Reach out to Strykers_Inc, Daniel T, or Trwtow they have had theirs long enough to give you a good assessment.

Here is a link to their posts.

Since you are in Texas you could also go see Kirk Robinson at Kinney's Muffler Shop.

Here is 3 examples of his work.

GM Borla dual rear exit....sound is getting a bit better as it runs in over time.

Nice growl under acceleration, quiet at cruise, no V4 drone!

Worth the extra cash

For anybody thats installed a borla on a 6.2 do you have the pArt number for the muffler only? Or does anybody know of a borla muffler thats 3.5"

Inlet with dual outlet. I can find 3.5 imlet and outlet but the exhaust shops around here cant bend more than 3" pipe

Probably an odd question for a GM forum but.......

With all the concern and talk about the V4 drone/helicopter sound or whatever you want to call it, I was just wondering, does Dodge/Ram have the same issues. I'm certainly not up on Ram trucks, but I thought I read somewhere that they also use a type of "cylinder deactivation" in their trucks?

Just wondering.
