Nasty Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Yeah not always, but it was safer this way. But mine did end up with the same length of reveal on the slip yoke, so it worked out ok. When I pull it to balance it, I'll likely remove an inch and have the perches in the flip kit drilled to re-center it. That's if I keep the truck. I'm vastly unimpressed with the stuff that gm does these days. I can fix it all with enough $ thrown at it, but damn. GM does not use their head for shit. I love my truck. I wouldn't change a thing besides the uca mounts
Derek66lsx Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 And maxtrac, belltech and mcg all move the axle.back. they are all pretty much the same. I just prefer mcg products Do I have this right flip kit only is 7", flip kit and hanger (stock shackle) 5/6", flip kit hanger and drop shackle 3/4"? I'm thinking I want to be around 4", possibly 5. I love my truck. I wouldn't change a thing besides the uca mounts Love my truck too, are the uca's a common problem on these? I just had one replaced on mine under warranty a couple days before putting in the drop shocks haha

I just had one replaced on mine under warranty a couple days before putting in the drop shocks haha For the flip kit question yes. As for the other part. It's not a problem into you go past 4 inches of drop or so. Because the wheel doesn't center in the wheel well and it looks restarted. The only way to fix it somewhat is the mmw arms which are 1k
04GMshorty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Is there any 2/4 kits for a 4wd? I've looked but everything seems to be for 2wd only.. 14 sierra with cast steel front suspension Sent from my SM-G920W8 using Tapatalk 1
04GMshorty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Doesn't the flip kit net you closer to 7"? Sent from my SM-G920W8 using Tapatalk 1
Nasty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) Yes but you'll need a lift hanger and a shackle. And I think my buddy is selling flip with those partd new for a good priceif you'd like me to ask Edited August 29, 2017 by Nasty
04GMshorty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Oh ok, that requires you to cut the stock hanger off correct? Sent from my SM-G920W8 using Tapatalk 2
Nasty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 The rivets need to come out and the new ones bolt in place. 1
eddiefromcali Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 That buddy would be me...$190 shipped for a new belltech 6525 kit and 6700 shackles. can get 4-6" drop depending on shackle/hanger settings. 1
04GMshorty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Ok.. I'll have to think about it. Might be a bit lower then I want to go.. What about lowering struts? Best place to get those? Sent from my SM-G920W8 using Tapatalk
Nasty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 It's adjustable. From 4 to 6. You want 4. It can be set at 4 I have mcg struts. Straight from mcg
04GMshorty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Yea that's true.. Didn't realize how much work it was for that kit, not bad though... And i guess the shackles just allow you to go even lower? Sent from my SM-G920W8 using Tapatalk
Nasty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 The shackles raise it to 4 or 5 because of the lift hanger which flips the shackle
Nasty Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 4" is nothing on a k2. I used my regular cab with a 4/7 drop to tow the wife's chevelle once and it was fine. You wanting a 4? You'll be just fine. These trucks are high as hell stock anyway
