New guy here as well. Drove a 2007 silverado for 10 years and put 235k on it. Great truck. Bought 2017 Crew Cab Silverado a couple weeks ago. Would have loved to get the Z71 with match painted front end but this 4x4 was a great deal! I am looking to do away with the chrome, what do yall suggest? I will post pic as soon as I figure out how.

Okay, so here's pics. The Katzkin seats - I went with all-black solid leather (no perf), and all-black stitching. They couldn't Plasti-Dip the Texas Edition emblem, because the star is attached to the "edition" piece - due to the way you peel off Plasti-Dip excess, they didn't want to do it. I may just take those off, and buy the black ones, with the white background on the "edition" part. The seats turned out fantastic, can't complain. I paid $900 total for everything - I think the Top Coverage company here, gave my Chevy dealership a discount, because of all the business they give them. Pretty sure I got lucky there, because I was initially quoted $1,300 in total. I always appreciate a discount!

I love that interior. I wanted leather, but hate how you have to get the console. doesnt feel like a truck to me and i like the extra flip up seat for the kids if needed.

Bought my 2015 QuickSilver SLE Kodiak Edition in Dec 2015, and honestly haven't taken any good photos of it! Need to change that. I honestly didn't like the idea of a silver truck at first, and actually wanted the metallic blue, but the dealer with the Quicksilver truck threw a way better price my way than the one with the blue one, and it grew on me... simple, clean looking truck.

Pictures... Have one as it sat on the dealer lot, had mud flaps, aeroskin hood protector and a Line-X added before I brought it home. Changed the stock halogens out for BPS G7 LED. Ordered a Bakflip MX4 for it today as well. Anyone have bed rails on their silver truck? Toying with the idea but not sure how it'll look. After scrolling through this thread I can see why people ditch the factory rubber straight away... Think I'll wear mine out first though.

Truck is supposed to be ready today, they just have to install the towing mirrors, tonneau cover and change the chrome mudflaps to black chrome, So far they have installed the Anzo LED tail lights, Weathertech floor mats and KMC Wheels, I will get some better shots when I have her but here's one for now.

Well guess I have found a string to subscribe to. I ordered a silver LTZ Z71 last week. It will be quite the change as I have an entirely blacked out truck now. Anyway can't wait to look through some of the pictures and get some ideas for changes and stuff.

    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
    • I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
    • I haven't seen inventory recovery from COVID.    In the few random times I 'build my own' truck or SUV, no one has the exact one I want.   GM has been working to lower incentives too for a long time.    A $500 incentive isn't getting me off the couch to go truck shopping.
