So I sent an inquiry about Power Step running boards for regular cab trucks into AMP Research and this was there response,

"As of this time we do not make a power step for a regular cab GMC Sierra Or Chevy Silverado."

Guess on to option "B"....

Technically, they don't make them for a double cab either... You, the installer, have to cut the boards to the appropriate length. Cutting that much off for the RC though is a lot more, but the same thing you have to do for the DC, cutting. But there are still a lot of great options out there though.

Actually, the DC is an official model for AMP PowerSteps posted under Applications in the installation instructions and on their web site along with the CC where the RC is not. The instructions just show a modification is needed for the extended cab steps. At least that's what my instructions say for my DC.

That is true, but it is only one kit (length) with additional steps for the double cab, Cut the boards to length. (at least it was at my time of purchase). That's all I was getting at. It's really just a crew cab package that you have to modify. If AMP had a RC model, it would be "just cut more off to fit". Sucks for RC owners though. Hopefully they would discount the price knowing half of the board would be trash or just cut it in the factory and ship correct sized boards. On a completely unrelated side note... Your truck name "ruby" I just saw, has me youtubing the Kaiser Chiefs' Ruby...

Hey all. I really like the AMP Power Steps and am debating on picking some up. I was wondering what kind of $$$'s I could get for the stock GM 6" chrome side steps. If I'm not mistaken they were a $750 option in Canada. What are you guys selling/buying them for? USD or CAD numbers are cool, it would give me an idea of what I could possibly price mine at. The Amp's are going to run me about $1,400 and if I could offset the price a bit by selling the stock boards, for $4-500 that would be great but don't know if that is reasonable.

Can I put my nerf bars from my 2013 on my 2014 crew? They are Aries?

Installed OEM Look alike running board kit I found on Ebay for $229. Would have preferred to go NFAB but my young kids would have a tough time with that style.

I had the dealer take off my factory 6" oval stainless side steps for a better deal because I really didn't like the look of them. Now I'm looking for a smaller step like the nfab nerf bars. I would like black but in Canada they salt the roads so I'm worried they'd rust big time. I've also thought about going with the Nfab ones and having them done in a linex or other bedliner material.

I have Nfabs on mine and they're powder coated. You can also get them with a textured finish from them, but not sure if it's bedliner materials or what it is. Both finishes was also the same price.

So if I were to get a set off of a 2014 model and use them on my 2008, they should bolt up?
