FORGIVEN06 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Yes, I did when I bought the truck last November. It really easy, took me about 15 min. You need a heat gun, fishing line, and a rubber wheel on a drill. Did you remove all the emblems and was there not any holes after removal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daly Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 They are just stuck on with two way tape, no holes… 1
FORGIVEN06 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Really like those footwell LED's that you installed. I plan on installing some as well except I will have them wired to the dome light, can't be that hard right? I have just one question though- is the white that those put off equivalent to the soft white of the dome lights? Thanks and nice truck! Sent while in 'Murica... Did you ever find out if you could hard wire those LEDs in to dome switch? I like them but wouldn't like mine to be on all the time and I do wonder if the color is the same.. Do you know? I get my lights in on Wednesday and may tackle it that evening. There is a thread on here talking about wiring in lights on a gmt900 and I'm pretty sure it's the same. If you give me some time I'll figure out the wire that it needs to be tapped to Sent while in 'Murica... 1

Let me know and post some pics if possible! Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
SkippyG4 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 also recently installed Plasmaglow Fire & Ice Light bar. Hard wired it by swapping out the 4 way plug for a 5 way and then modded both left and right tailight wire harness so bar can be easily replaced if it goes bad. 1

Do you know if you can install those so that they only come on when u brake or back up? I don't think I want them on with running lights Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Spurshot Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) I performed warranty on my old 2008 truck that my brother bought from me 6 months ago. We replaced the 140,000 mile upper control arms, which had worn ball joints, with the UCAs from my 2014 which had only 10,000 miles on them when I replaced them with the Cognito UCAs. About 1 1/2 hrs total, with a tire rotation in there to boot. I also got my gun drawers back from the bed of the old 08 and put them in the 2014. Edited December 15, 2014 by spurshot
baggedlvintegra Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Experimented with an "extra" bumper I came across, plastidipped the plastics to get a feel for the look..and well now I'm stuck trying to make it happen for real because I love the look! 4

Looks clean. Luckily the plastics already match the color of my truck lol Sent while in 'Murica...

I like that look too. I just don't see myself doing though. First time I put a muddy boot on the step it'd trash it up. BTW, I like that you went with chrome/polished wheels with the white. I'm not and never will be a black wheel guy. Edited December 15, 2014 by spurshot 2

FORGIVEN06 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Could you just not wire in the the running light wire? That's kind of what I was thinking but I'm not for sure, thought maybe someone had tried it or knows if possible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BTW, I like that you went with chrome/polished wheels with the white. I'm not and never will be a black wheel guy. The durability is what puts me on the fence about it. I've read tons of "cen cal" threads and have seen dirty/abuse to clean pics of painted plastics and most swear that with proper prep you won't have any issues. Just a bit risky though...especially when you already have a perfectly good powdercoated white bumper to begin with Edited December 15, 2014 by baggedlvintegra
