Kooks with the Calico CoolKhrome coating. Once I clean up the engine compartment I'll take some pics and a sound clip.

I already have a true dual exhaust (2.5") with an Magnaflow x-pipe & Flowmaster 50 series SUV mufflers, exiting out the center back with Borla tips.

I had the Kooks catted y-pipe split and merged into the dual exhaust.

Here's some pics of the exhaust in my build thread...

Just curious, what's the advantage going smaller with 2.5 inch exhaust rather than going with a larger 3 inch over the factory 2.75 inch.

He's got true dual's which is two exhaust pipes running all the way back to the tips. 2.5" is more then enough, had he put on a Y pipe and run a single pipe to the muffler, 3" would've been better.

Installed the GMC Bed Extender. Primarily for holding small parcels in place, i.e. grocery runs, etc.

Yes. And while 3" duals would be more better, it would also be louder. This setup is surprisingly mellow at idle & cruise.

Your not making near enough power for dual 3"... Sorry it doesn't work that way with exhaust sizing, bigger is not always better. It would take 275-350 HP per pipe MINIMUM to make the exhaust work without losing low end power.

Washed and sealed my truck. Should have some new wheels and tires this week.

[rolleyes]

It's true though. You need some back pressure and with a stock V8 the best is either a single 3" or dual 2 1/2".

Roll your eyes till they fall out of there socket's.... But do this, go Google Exhaust sizing and it's right there before your eyes... unless they did indeed fall out. It's about keeping exhaust gasses hot and the wave pulses tight. My 77 F1-R Procharged Camaro put out 1122HP and it only had a 3.5" dual exhaust with and X-pipe.
