I do loving my Browning 725 Sporting!

I just don't understand why you would get the 6.2 in the truck. Especially since the 5.3 can tow the same with 3.73 gears. It's not a race car since it's not aerodynamic nor is the gearing correct....to each his own I guess. I prefer the chance at better fuel millage

You're right, the 5.3 and 6.2 are pretty close in max trailer capacity (500-700lbs difference). But what you fail to understand is that the 6.2 will create more torque and horsepower lower in the rpm bands. Thus you have more power when you need it most if you are trailering. And yes trucks are not race cars but a truck is supposed to be a powerful tool. So knocking the 6.2 because it creates more power than the 5.3 is a mute point. I'm not trying to argue or say someone is dumb because they like the 5.3. I'm just saying there's no reason to knock the 6.2 as the benefits are clear as day.

I'm not knocking the 6.2 I just personally don't feel the need for it or understand why you need it. Any time you are going to tow with your truck frequently as you say for the added power, you should have a diesel you get better fuel millage towing and have ample torque

Being that i bought used i couldn't pass up the deal that i got.... Come on... 28K OTD for a Z71 double cab with 30K miles.... It would have cost me an easy 15K nore to get the 6.2..... I couldn't afford it at the time because of my credit. I couldnt get a loan for the truck i wanted. This one came up so i snatched it up.

If you want the power of a 6.2.... Boost makes everything better :D

PS. my 5.3 gets shit gas mileage... Yayy winter gas.

I have the same remote and pretty sure same wiring harness for the light bar. Do you have it directly wired to the barrery? and does your light bar ever turn on randomly when the truck is off? It has happened to me a few times. I will get to my truck at work and it will be on. I'm 100% sure i didn't leave it on either.

Mines to the battery but so far I have not had any issues with mine randomly turning on maybe you have a faulty switch? Or accidently pushed the button?

Switch is somewhere where it can't be turned on with my hand on it. I'm thinking it's the harness

Haha I am glad you own Brownings. There are way too many people who have Buckmark stickers on their trucks or wear Browning clothing and they have no idea that Browning even makes guns. I was talking to a guy the other day that was wearing Browning Sweater. I asked what guns he shot, turns out, he doesn't shoot or hunt anything. I refused to have any browning stickers on my vehicles until I actually bought a gun. I did buy a Browning Citori XT Trap last year but I still can't bring myself to put a sticker on my truck. That is my #1 pet peeve with hunting right now... posers haha. Ok, rant over :)

Not sure how bad it is in Canada but down here in the Alabama everyone and there mother seems to have a Browning, Drake Waterfowl or Salt Life sticker on their vehicle. The worst is when someone gets the little browning decals and puts one in every corner. Personally I don't care for stickers on my vehicle except I do have my BDS stick on the bottom left hand corner of the rear window and a GM-Trucks sticker in the front left corner of my windshield. But those will soon be coming off as my girlfriend keeps busting my balls about them lol.
