After de-badging my 2014 RCSB Z71, the red inserts on the GMC badge in the grill started to look odd, so I replaced them with Billet aluminum inserts.

Ouch, that sucks. Does insurance cover that? Lol

Yea they are going to cover all the repairs and a rental for the time it's in the shop. All I have to cover is my deductible.

Changed out the front bumper insert yesterday. From all black, to the two piece Z71 front insert.

That's my next project. I'm gonna be getting the skid painted to match then install. Did you remove the bumper to do this or just loosen up all the bolts and move it around to get all the bolts?

Picked the new truck up on Friday 7/15/16. Took the running boards off on Saturday and sold them for $450, I'll use that as a start to the AMP steps. Got tinted on monday but haven't had time to take a picture until today when took her on her first roadtrip for 127 highway miles...no problems whatsoever. Loving the 16 soooooooooooooo much more than the 14 that was a constant headache.

What % tint did you go with? Can't decide what to do on my 16.

I went with a 5% brow, 5% driver and passenger window and 15% back seat and 3 back windows. On top of factory windows which come 70% front and 24% back it comes out to about 3.5 % (.7x.05=.035 and .24x.15=.036) on everything except the windshield. My last vehicle was a tahoe with 5% all around and the back was too dark on top of factory tint. Before that I had a Benz with 5 % all around so I'm used to dark vehicles. I had a 14 with 15% on the front windows (not windshield) and 35% over the back five windows and it wasn't close to dark enough, could still see in easily. I want my tint dark enough that you can't see inside, even in the daytime but as I hunt and travel country roads in the dark I still need to be able to see out sometimes. I think this was the perfect blend of privacy, protection and still being able to see well even at night. I'm not sure of your state laws so you might consider them but around here they don't really care too much about tint. In the last 10+ years of driving around the nation living in NY, TX, CA, FL, OK and AR I've only been pulled over once for tint.

Finished up the passenger side truck bed this afternoon. Hoping to get the whole rear end of the truck into my local Line-X dealer this week. Then next week start on the front fenders and passenger side doors. Still looking to order a hood as well.

I feel your pain. I had my 03 about a year. Went to visit family in North Dakota and had $10,000 worth of hail damage. They had to basically Ruskin 3/4 of the truck. New hood, roof, front fender, and bed side. All of the panels had to to be massaged. Hail can do a lot of damage. Can't wait to see how the bed liner looks make sure to get the UV Protectant or it will fade really quick.

I'm going to be using Line-X either Premium or some new color match technique. Meeting with the guys there to see the new color match process. They claim it'll look the same as paint decides the line x texture of course.
