Yeah but realistically you could throw a condition 1 glock against a wall or anything and it'll never fire. It's pretty much the case with anything unless you roll with the hammer cocked lol but glocks don't have that issue. Very cool mount btw!!! Great idea

A magnet! Jesus that's so simple I can't believe I didn't think of it. I was afraid I'd have to buy multiple different mounts depending on what I was carrying.

 

How solid is it? Do any light off reading in it with that? I take a small trail to an area I shoot, it would be nice to not need to keep it concealed on me during that drive assuming it's solid. Either way I'm gonna look into this.

The magnet is really solid. Holds up to 25lbs. I have done light off roading a couple times and it didn't move. Before the magnet I would just put it in my cup holder. The company "Gero" had good reviews so that why I picked them. Only crappy part was drilling into my new truck.

I got tired of neither my stereo shop nor the dealership (yes a cool service manager was trying to help fix it) not being able to fully cut off the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). After reading several threads on the forum I cut the crankshaft sensor replicating wire that feeds the rpm/load data to the Bose amp. One snip and ANC is finally off. Finally able to enjoy the upgraded sound without weird random subwoofer noise and no other functions are affected. Yeeessss!

It's only the 16 and up that have this right? I don't know why they don't have an option to turn it off like the reverse tilt mirrors and what not. Seems like it would be nice to have the option and easy for GM.

From what I have read it is all 6.2L '14 and up. I don't think any of the '14 and up with other engines have ANC.

That is correct. All 14 6.2L and up have ANC. I'm not sure about the 5.3L

It's all good until you get into an accident. The idea of an unsecured loaded weapon with nothing covering the trigger flying around the cab of my truck didn't sound very good to me.

 

Just because something is convenient doesn't make it safe. There are better options.

Sure, but does that mean that you're going to run a level 3 holster in your truck? Maybe I was planning on running a VanGuard in addition to the magnet. Perhaps I was only planning on running the magnet when I'm on the trail to the range. Maybe I wasn't going to run with a round chambered.

 

I'm all about securing your handgun, but it's always a compromise with accessibility vs security.

I'm not freaked out at all I just practice gun safety. My firearms are always in a holster or locked in a safe place unloaded. There's no in-between when it comes to firearms. Safety is the #1 concern 24/7.

If you don't have one in the chamber what's the point. That's one more action one has to complete to possibly give the bad guy an advantage. Gotta keep it locked and loaded!

I carry all my Glocks like that. Trigger is always covered in my holster though.

Agreed. Milliseconds count in a high stress situation such as that. The fewest number of reactions one has to make the higher the probability of it going your way. Speed and precision are some of the biggest key factors in that situation, and proper timing

Ordered my Airraid MIT as well as set up an appt to have my exhaust done. Just going with a muffler swap to a magnaflow to get a little more tone out of the truck. Not wanting anything to aggressive just a little rumble under full throttle. Now the agonizing wait!!!!
