Finally got my switches installed for aux LED lighting. Have had this dang panel for almost a year.. Details below!

GM Switch Guy on FB makes these panels with the exact parts I used, but he wanted over $100 for the panel and switches. I'm too much of a cheap ass for that and enjoy the challenge.

This only works if you don't have factory trailer brakes. I ordered the switch bezel from GMpartsdirect (part #22830877), 4wd switch and room for the trailer brake switch. Using a dremel, cut a square hole a bit smaller than what is shown below, then fine tuned it after taking dimensions of the switch bezel.

Switches ordered from OTRATTW. High quality stuff! Might swap out the single upper dependent switches to a lower dependent so the text area is tied into the dash illumination. Reason I didn't do it in the first place is they don't have a lower white LED with upper red LED.

Rigid Industries Ignite flush mount pods in the rear step cavity are next. Happy with the clean OEM look for less than $60!

That looks fantastic! I want to do some aux lights here soon but I'd really love to get the aux switch panel with custom made piano keys for it but I have no idea if anybody makes them for our trucks.

Looks great though, and since I have a factory trailer brake I think I'd relocate it someplace and do a similar setup to what you've done.

Looks great! Be sure to post some pics when you install the lights my guy

It's been a minute since I've posted here but I've definitely been lurking. Unfortunately my first post back isn't anything fun, but maintenance.

Last night I finished my thermostat after working in the shop. Took about 15 minutes with 2 sockets, my ratchet and a pair of pliers. Super easy, and with a gallon of coolant it cost around 50 dollars total. Not bad for 91K out of the first unit.

( Part number if interested is 12674639 )4879f6490d7779262269bb6219f70e24.jpg7c67fcad29cc1c55f27ff7a209ed1f44.jpgd9dced72767b13ccddd66fa150ad4567.jpg

Here is the link to the Rough Country website for the winch plate

https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-hidden-winch-mounting-plate-11004.html?find=2017-chevy-silverado-1500-4wd-739399

and here are the other pics I took during the installation :

as you can see below. You need to cut the tab off of the frame Ron

thanks for the detailed photos I have the cst 4.5" lift installed so I was wondering that would have any affect on installation but looks like it should be fine, I like that it is recessed and not some big obnoxious thing sticking off the bumper lol. was the nylon cable a optional thing? the photos I see online of the winch show a steel cable.

I picked this winch specifically due to the synthetic line.  The pros of synthetic is that it’s lighter and a bit safer if it snaps. In Canada the Costco sells this specific winch. So picked it up for $600

but it does come with steel cable

looks like a nice setup, I would like to do the same I have been a bit hesitant to do some more adventurous offroading because I don't have a winch and adding the aftermarket bumpers with mounts add's even more weight.

The only down side to this is that I. Ant access the spool clutch to be able to free spool the line out unless I have the grill removed. And I would also recommend having a wireless controler set up as well

couldn't you just rig up some kind of lever? like a hose clamp with a bolt sticking up then attach the lever to the bolt and you could just push/pull it thru the grill

and I thought the 1100 was wireless? the one I was looking at online came with a wireless control

Your right. The one I have does come with a wireless remote. But some winches do not. As for the clutch lever I need to take a better look and see if I can fabricate something up

Or maybe drill a hole in the lever for the bolt instead of a hose clamp

Once spring hits and it gets warmer I will most likely tear into this again and figure out a way to  enable the clutch lever. But for right now it still works. Also goi g to be finding a new battery for the remote ( just in case)

Pulled the trigger and ordered a Rough Country 5in lift, probably won't get installed until the end of the month though.

Well it's been months since I've been on here, quite a bit going on in life, lift has been on since October along with my new Flowmaster Outlaw exhaust and I'm just loving this truck. Sounds means as hell. Here's a couple pics before with level then 5in lift.0875610a41ab68381f745fd4a6a10eaf.jpg2490927560982c743e08997784acaa3a.jpg94d512e4580cc2ae7ecd9f5cef4f693b.jpg
