What did you do with your factory hood? Interested in selling it?

Installed my FX-R retrofit kit today. I already had the FX-R projectors (2.5", not 3" like I had originally thought). The size difference is noticeable; it doesn't fill up the hole for the projector like I would like it to, but it's really one of those things people will only notice if I point it out to them. I might eventually just buy the 3" and swap them out, but I am pretty pleased with the light output.

On my way home from my girlfriend's house tonight, the bugs were so thick for about 5 miles there that it sounded like it was raining. Guess the brighter lights attracted an enormous amount of bugs, ha!

Just a shot to give you an idea of the amount of bugs that accumulated

Had the front two windows tinted as they were not done at the dealership and they wanted way too much to do it.

Looks a lot better!

Freight would be about $200. But if it fits within GreyHound Shipping guidelines it would probably be under $100. I'm in no rush so whenever you get around to it see if it meets the criteria below.

"Size: The maximum weight per package is 100 pounds. The maximum dimensions that we can accommodate are 82" L x 47" W x 30" H."

Took my truck in for its first free maintenance visit today.

Other than the dealer making me wait till it was at 25% oil life, it was a painless affair.

They washed it for me as well.

One thing that got me curious is why I had to provide my personal info when he already had my VIN.

Aren't the dealers hooked into the Chevy database? Or is only the vehicle info available and not the owner data?

The dealer I went to the first 2 times (same one I bought the truck from) said it had to be under 20%. I think since dealerships are privately owned they can choose rather to be under a certain % or not. I know some have said on here that some don't care about the %. It's probably so someone doesn't go by the old mileage from back in the day and try to do is at 3,000 or even less. I had my 3rd done a couple months ago and that's going to be the last one since I have a little over a month before the 2 years is up and the mileage would be over 24,000 even if I drove the hell out of it for one month.

As for the info, if you bought the truck from them they will already have all your info but if you didn't get it from there then they might need to get your basic info. Maybe it's quicker to just ask for the information instead of looking it up. I know they do a VIN history to see if you have any recalls, but not sure if they can just look up all your info from the VIN. I know when I made the appt. for my last free oil change and tire rotation I gave her my name and she didn't find me cause I didn't buy the truck from there and had never went there for anything. I believe they still need to put your info in their personal system.
