I bought it from Range Tech today. The other place was out. I put my VIN in and it was accepted as compatible.

Tracking shows it will be delivered Monday.

If you would, post up how well it works for you.

Range Tech chip works great. There is tons of power with no drone or exhaust vibration. Haven't seen a drop in MPG. Well worth 200 bucks. I am enjoying my truck now and will keep it.

Tons of power, please explain as all the range does is fool your ECM to keep it from going into v4. You could do the same by feathering the throttle. I just don't get the tons of power statement. Add another $200 to what the range cost and you certainly will have tons of power. Just saying....

I don't know how it works. It disables the AFM so it does not go into 4 cylinders. They have been saying on this page that the 5.3 burn oil and the rings stick using AFM. I had the drone starting about 40 MPH if I were to hold the speed steady. The only other way is to put the shift selector on M and drive it in 5th gear. That does keep the RPMs up and burns more fuel. If you have it in cruise control you don't want to be feathering the throttle. Believe me if it wasn't for the device GM would have had a truck stuck sideways.

I guess without the chip, the truck goes through all of the gears and gets the max RPM out of every gear. I think with the AFM it tries to get to the highest gear as fast as it can to get into 4 cylinder. Thus the drone noise.

Got that, but you said "tons of power" you lost me there.

You' know it doesn't add any power (HP). Now we can all move on.

All right, I can agree with that.

This is true. Yes the words "tons of power" is probably not the best phrase to be associated with the Range, unless its sarcasm. But the Range device is nice to have, to eliminate V4 mode to get rid of drone with the use of aftermarket products.
