Here's mine. About 8,250 loaded.

With the wife and kids, and all the snacks for long hauls, and the trailer tongue weight with WD hitch, I don't have a lot of room left in my 1633 lb passenger and cargo limit, but it's a decent puller none the less.

My trailer is a 19ft BH weighing 3400lbs empty. I pulled it from WV to Utah and back last year across the Rockies, to ride the trails and attend rallies, without any problems. I'm wanting a bigger camper with more room so this is what I was trying out today. My WDH was on my trailer so I didn't use one.This one weighs 4900lbs empty and I had them fill the black, grey and fresh water tanks to simulate the trailer loaded with my stuff.

I have airbags with 80lbs of air in them so the truck was sitting ok. I weighed the rig and the truck weighed 8000lbs and the trailer weighed 5000lbs so thats about 700lbs tongue wieght. I pulled it 80 miles and was happy with the pull. What RPMs are you guys seeing on a hard pull? On some of the really steep hills its would drop into third and hit 3900 RPM to maintain 62. Thats the speed I pull at. I have the max tow package with 373 gears and E rated tires.

How does your tailgate not hate you?! I can't fathom towing with it down. Looks like you're all up on the jack.

I'm about 3 inches away from the jack. I have to move the propane bottles back and down so the tailgate doesn't hit them when turning. I also have an extra cable on each side of the tailgate.

I won't hit the obvious stuff... Regarding 3900 rpm at 62... You're about right. Peak torque is at 4100rpm or ~65mph in third.

The Vette is basically a stock Z06. The only "engine mod" is a Corsa X-pipe that I traded straight for the stock H-pipe. The suspension has Pfadt light-rate anti-sway bars and inverted adjustable dampers.

Curious to know drivetrain and how she handles! We have an almost identical doublecab 5.3L/3.42 and our 34ft. Zinger will be same weight as yours. Also what hitch are you using? I just bought an Equalizer.

I have the 5.3, 4x4, Z71 suspension, 3.42 axles.

I do not have the max tow package, which I'm now working to duplicate some portions of, specifically the rear springs and shocks, and potentially auxiliary trans / oil coolers.

With the 4 of us in the cab and kids seats, etc., I figure we're at about 550-600lbs. Take that off of our 1633lbs max payload, and the weight distributing hitch, and I'm left with a little over 900lbs or so, for the trailer tongue weight.

I have almost nothing in the truck bed, and have to load the trailer wisely. Too much in front of the axles and I can't get the truck to sit level, as the suspension drops quite a bit once I lower the trailer onto the hitch. WDH helps significantly and gets me there though, as long as trailer's loaded right. I'm running the Eaz-lift with 1000 lbs bars, due to its ability to be used on two trucks of differing hitch height (have a 2500 Duramax also). I just bought a 2nd hitch head and set each one to the height needed, and can use the same bars and sway controller on either. Wondering if the 1200lbs bars would've been better for this setup though.

As far as ride goes, there's plenty of power to get me rolling comfortably on the interstate at 70 mph. In 98 degree GA heat with high humidity I saw engine and trans temps climb slightly, but nothing I was worried about. Maybe 220 coolant, and 210 trans. And that was mostly while maneuvering to get it backed up the driveway. I've noticed mild porposing on undulating roads, but nothing that doesn't settle within a few soft motions.

One other thing to mention. I did up the tire pressures a little to help with some pooching under load. Not sure these Goodyear SRA's are going to do it for me in the long run. May look to upgrade to a higher wright rating tire one I've made the suspension changes.

Thanks! Good info...we have same setup for trucks. I have tow package with brake controller, but not Max Tow either. I have Wrangler's (upgrade?), but once bald will go with BFG KOS or Wrangler Duratracs.

Our TT has a 991# tongue weight, so I have 1200# bars to be safe. For giggles, I was playing with Huskytow.com's data sheet - I was OK on all counts with 231# left for the GCWR (I know, right). I will hit scales for sure to get accurate, loaded weight - but weight isn't bothering me...the 34' trailer length and 26 gal. tank is!

It rides on Pirelli PZero slicks, the track was about 90 miles out. I usually drive it on the slicks when the venue is local. This time, it was an opportunity to trailer it, I've been waiting for it.
