bales810 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 How well does the dip hold up with tire rotations, etc.? I've been considering dipping mine, but was concerned with how it would hold up. STI It seems to be doing ok. I've found if you take a pressure washer directly to the rim edge it will flake off. Touch-up is quick and easy though. Anytime I've been to the dealership they think its powdercoat. I'm up in new england so 3/4yr mine are covered in dirt/salt anyways. From 10ft away they look perfect, closeup you will definitely see it's not powdered. Hope this helps. 1
jrob56 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Recently swapped out stock 20" Chrome Denali wheels for 20x9 +18, Method Mesh Matte Black. Trying to tone down chrome, but wheel still has some accents. Looks great, want to go similar route with my LTZ. Lot of chrome right now, but some dark wheels with a chrome accent tones it down a bit.
shockedimpy Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Looks great. I had my Civic Si wheels Plasti dipped and nothing would flake or anything. But I had them put on professionally, didn't use cans, but some sort of spray gun. Came out fantastic
Matt_P Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Winter combo Stock Denali 20"alloy rims with BF Goodrich KO2 275/550/20 Damn near the same circumference as my 295/45/22, so I don't have to change any speedometer setting. Summer combo Hi Greg any chance you could post a picture showing your truck with the winter setup on? I just bought a Denali and am curious how a more aggressive tire looks with the rest of the truck.
Nova6883 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I have a 2015 silverado and have a RC 2.5" level kit, running a 305/55/R20 on factory wheels. Wanting to put a 1.5" body lift on top of that, to make a total of 4" of lift. With factory wheels, can I run a 35x12.5 tire? 5RWill Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Man friends are telling me to go ahead and get tires for my stock 20s but i still want methods bad. I can get 295/60/20 stt pros for 300$ a tire. Thought about painting the regular rims black or anthracite but idk. I love the NVs. Truth be told i don't want 20s. I want 17s or 18s. SilverBullet83 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hey guys, I have been researching what wheels and tires will fit on my truck and im needing a little help. Has anyone out there been able to fit a 20x10 -24mm with a 285/55r20 on a 2.5 leveled silverado? I dont mind trimming or zip tying the liner back but DO NOT want to trim metal. I originally wanted to put a 305/55r20 on but that just doesn't seem possible.

He swears they don't rub. I couldn't believe it but it clears well. Plenty of people are running 295/55/20s. I plan on going 295/60/20 if i keep my 20s.

Your setup will stick out 0.6" more than mine so I think you'll have to do some plastic trimming but it will be close.
