Thanks for the input, I might just go with the bigger tire and see how it works out. I have a friend with a 14 Silverado and he has 20x12 -44 offset with 285/55r20 trail grapplers and he just did the plastic mud flap trimming. I would assume I could fit a larger tire on a more narrow rim but I guess we will find out

and I can't decide which tire is the best for this kind of wheels and stock factory lift 2016 silverado! I'm looking for a quiet ride, low noise, good for sand dunes!

here is the list:

1- Yokohama Geolander A/T-S 285/65R17 116H (H = 210km/h) has more aggressive pattern and can reach 210km/h but little bit smaller

2- Toyo Open Country H/T 285/70R17 117T (T= 190km/h) has best tread life and lives very long

3- Firestone A/T 285/70R17 117T has best price with A/T pattern too

 

any thoughts, opinions?

guys what tire/rim size you reccomend for a 5" lift on a 2014 silverado? front fender measurement is 40" & rear is 41" 1/2

I have posted on here before when I just had the leveling kit installed, not sure if I have posted since I installed RCX 5". Also added .5 Lower strut tgc spacer, total 5.5" of lift. I am running a 20x10 -12 fuel Mav. with Nitto trails. Do you guys think I could run a 295/60 with lift setup?? I am thinking of going to the Toyo AT II's also. Is anyone running hub-centric rings with aftermarket wheels? I'd love to find a set for my Methods.

 

Mine came with the wheels from BMF, no the tire shop didn't put them on and used the lug nuts that are supposed to align them, I have no vibration but I plan to rotate the wheels and put them on for security.

Finally was able to install my new wheels and tires.

305/55/20 Toyo AT2 Xtreme with XD Bully Matte Gray +18
2.25 inch Readylift level with 2 inch rear blocks. Not one bit of rubbing.

The lift is a 6in RCX with the BFGs and stock rims. Never trimmed and no rubbing even with no offset. The The Amp Research running board really give it a clean look.

 

I have read a lot of people saying that RCX is not a high quality lift but I'm on my third one and my Father is on his third and neither one of us has had any problem.

Great setup man! Im wondering about a similar setup if you dont mind giving me your input? Its for a 2014 Silverado LTZ 4x4

 

2.5" Front & 1.0" Rear lift

20"x9 Fuel Offroad Nutz +1 offset

305/55 32 x12.50 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro

 

Do you think compromising with the offset between this setup and yours and the 20"x9 instead of the 20"x10 allow me to fit without the 1.5" body lift with little to no trimming?

Ive heard different things and I know its hard to tell until its on the truck, but any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

I like your setup. Im thinking about something very similar. Do you think there would be any issues with a 2.5" Front & 1.0" Rear lift and putting 305/55/20 +1 offset? How much clearance do you have currently? Does it rub in 4 wheel drive any? Im not against trimming but id prefer not to. Thanks!

Traded my stock rims for 20x10 fuel maverick last night. Only pic I have so far. Sitting on stock tires for now. Going to get some new tires soon.

      Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.

      I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.

      I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
