Here's my setup. I kept the size 18 wheels so I could keep the stock tire. I paid $535 plus tax for the new wheels but with tax and installation plus new lug nuts (stock lugs are too wide) it came out to $730 out the door. Wheels are by Pro Comp model 5034 common name Rockwell. 18x9 6x5.5

Hello,

New to the forum as I just signed up today but have been lurking since I got my truck in late 2015.

My wheel and tire set-up are as follows:

17x9 -12 offset Method Race The Standard in Matte Black

General Grabber X3 35x12.50R17 - Red Lettering

1 3/4" hub centric spacers are in installed on the rear axle

Truck is currently lifted 6.5", no rubbing

welcome

I think i've changed my mind on my plans. Ill probably go for a 20x9 +20 with 305/55's on a 2" level. How well would that work out? What can I expect in terms of rub and other issues?

Here is mine

2" RC Level

285/65r18 Trail Graps

Stock 18s

I plan on going to a 20X9 w/ a 295/55r20 here in the next few months. Have any of you successfully put on a 295/60r20 on 2" level w/ out trimming? I am looking at aroun +14 - + 18 offset wheels.

I had to ziptie the front fenderwells on the inner rear corners, that is all.

You need to pay attention to what version your control arms are (cast steel vs stamped steel vs alum) and what offset/backspacing people are running. There are reports of people rubbing with 305/50r20s, but I think they are on stock wheels with stamped arms. Others have run that with the same thing with minimal to no rubbing. So I think the control arms are the differences.

Moving from a stock offset (assuming +27 on a stock 20" wheel) to a +20 offset will gain you a little bit, but you still may not clear the control arms completely if they are stamped or alum.

I'll have to check out which ones i've got. I have the 17" wheels so I think my offset is actually only +24 offset. So i'd gain nearly next to nothing. The other offset option for these wheels is +1, or -12. So the 305 tires would be about 1.6" wider than I have right now. So if I go with +1, i'd get .9" saving from there. So effectively my tires would reach in an additional .7" or so. Think that would work? I just don't want a silly amount of tire sticking out from the well. A small amount is fine.

Hey guys I need some help. I'm buying tires this weekend and haven't decided on the size. I haven't seen much on here on 17s hopefully someone can help me. It's between 305/70r17 and 33x12.50r17. I'm going with the ridge grapplers and will be on 0 offset wheels and 2.5 leveled truck. I love the width of the 12.50 and the height of the 305/70

Is anyone running these sizes?

Looks great!

I think that's the first set of 20" Methods I've seen.

There's 20s somewhere in these 251 pages cause

I run 20x9 with a 0 offset. 305/55/20 - only rub is at full lock once in awhile on the inner liner in reverse. 1 little zip tie each side fixed that. No cutting, trimming, hammering etc. oh and all I have is a RC 2" level (bottom spacer).

So I am torn.....help me decide. I will be upgrading to either a 20X9 or a 20X10 in the next few months. I plan on running 295/55r20 Ridge Grapplers.

The 20X9 are 0 offset

The 20X10 are -19 Offset

I have a 2" Front Level Only

Will both of these work or is it safer to go with the 0 offset 20x9.

Also, help me decide on wheels. I want hostile sprockets but can't decide between black or chrome. I plan on eventually color matching the bumpers and grille if that makes a difference.

I have also considered Moto Metal 962s as well in either chrome or black.

    • Hello hello looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the 2026 2500 HD that I just bought.   Truck has 3500 miles on it four-wheel-drive crew cab and I’m about to put a 6 1/2 inch BDS lift on it 18 x 10 -25 offset with 37’s   Already have the wheels and tires just waiting on the lift install in about three weeks   Question what surprises am I not gonna be happy with?  I’m not new to lifted trucks so I know that acceleration towing gas mileage all that is affected..   Question is those of you that have this truck this powertrain with a 10 speed Allison and have done the mods that I’m doing,,, how bad is it? Is that Allison constantly gonna be hunting for the right gear to go into? And what about towing, acceleration, fuel consumption as mentioned?    Lastly how come I can’t find any ring pinion gear set up for these axles and when could I expect to see them?   I apologize if there’s any typos I’m doing speech to text on my iPhone.
    • I've got a 2013 2500 6.0L Flexfuel. Drove the truck earlier today with no issues. Went to run an errand tonight and noticed key fob wouldn't work. Figured battery was dead, so replaced fob batter. Still wasn't working. Grabbed my other set of keys with the other fob and that one wasn't working either. So I manually unlock truck and insert key. Interior lights come on, dashboard lights up, turn key and truck starts. Turn truck off, like a moron, and try starting again. This time no crank, no click, no nothing. Lights still come on and dash lights up, but now I'm getting a service 4wheel drive, service tire monitor, etc. Check voltage on battery and Im showing 12.2v. Throw my battery charger on it and give it 15 mins and try starting again. But still no crank no start. Decide maybe its a bad battery, run to autozone grab a new one and put it in. Same issue. Disconnect battery and let it sit for 15 mins. Try again and still nothing. I had managed to roll the windows down earlier as its a humid night, but now I can't get them to roll up. Power locks are also not working now. Then randomly I try the key again, and it fires right up. Immediately I roll up the windows as we have nothing but rain forecast this week. I shut it back off wait 30 seconds and start up again. Worked a 2nd time. So turn it off, start putting things back together. Try one more time, and back to no crank no start. And now the car alarm starts going off. Had to disconnect battery and leave it that way for the night as I don't think my neighbors would appreciate my alarm going off again tonight. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
    • No one will care for you like you care for you. Do what you can for as long as you can. IMHO of course.

    • Hi there.  Long time lurker, first post.    i have read the previous posts regarding the water ingress problem with this emblem.  I bought my 1500 SLT the  summer of 2025 new and after reading the MANY problems with these emblems failing I decided to install one anyways.  As per a YouTube video, I sealed ( or tried to) this sign with silicone sealant around the outer perimeter joint and the holes that were already somewhat sealed on the rear plate of the emblem.  And installed the connector assembly using dielectric grease on the connectors. The installation looked great and worked well for about 4 months……then FAILURE.  Grrrrrr…… I live in the great white north and wash my truck weekly in an automatic car wash  to keep the salt off.  Let me tell you that removing the old, failed emblem is a whole different animal than removing the OEM individual letters without removing the grill assembly. Mainly because the illuminated logo is built differently than the original letters which  you can remove the red surface lettering with a knife or some kind of blade which gives access to the tabs which hold the logo onto the grill. So I had to essentially destroyed the old emblem to remove it. Doing so killed my chance of doing somekind of autopsy on the failed , old logo.  But there was plenty of water inside when I ripped it apart.  Prior to installing the new assembly I tried it with the old harness and it works fine.   Does anyone have any insight as to where the water is getting into this emblem? I intend to seal the new logo with slow curing epoxy this time around using a syringe.  I think this newer emblem may be an updated unit which I hope GM got the vendor to fix. It has an October 2025 date on it.    If this one  fails,  I am just going to revert back to the non-illuminated letters….AFTER PULLING THE GRILL.    Any thoughts on sealing with epoxy would be appreciated. Thx!   Doug
