Thanks for the info. Did you notice a great improvement?
pgamboa Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I'm not an audiophile but seems to be louder and better range. I still need to add the foam between the speaker and door speaker grill. Maybe that'll help with any sound drowning behind the door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

chrislcrews Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 How much improvement is this setup really as compared to the bose system? I ask because I would be cutting or removeing my storage box under the seat. Somewhere on here I saw a guy claim To have poured a fibreglass mold into the storage box and cut it I. Halves to be able to disconnect one when he wants to use storage space. Just wondering if this quality of sound is just as good. I'm not trying to shake my mirror but sometimes I do want some good bass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But I like the extra base. I too, would like underseat storage and thinking about getting one again and cutting the end off like a couple here have done. I love the system.
StillOffshore Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Is the Kicker for the Bose system plug and play like the non-Bose? Has anyone tried out one of the other brands floating around out there? I saw one that supposedly fits inside the center console?
Rosedog Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 How do you adjust the bass level with this? Correct. Kicker offers a package for the trucks that are equipped with the Bose system that is just the Powered Subwoofer. They do not offer the Powerstage VSS sub amp package for for trucks equipped with Bose because the Bose system already has a muliti channel amp powering the other speakers. Again you if you have a truck with the Bose system you order the powered sub: 2014-2016 CREW CAB WITH BOSE: http://www.kicker.com/SSICRE14 GM part #19303118 2014-2016 DOUBLE CAB WITH BOSE: http://www.kicker.com/SSIEXT14 GM part #19303116 If you have a Non Bose system order the Powerstage VSS system. 2014-2016 CREW CAB NON Bose: http://www.kicker.com/PSICRE14 GM part #19303117 2014-2016 DOUBLE CAB NON BOSE: http://www.kicker.com/PSIEXT14 GM part #19303115 How do you adjust the bass level with this? Is there an external remote for the bass that can be run up to the front?

I like this idea more, since it is completely out of the way and not visible at all. The kicker isn't bad looking, but if I could get this instead and not even see the thing...way more better. A.J. Curtis Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 How do you adjust the bass level with this? How do you adjust the bass level with this? Is there an external remote for the bass that can be run up to the front? There is no remote or "bass" knob as this plugs into the factory head unit and you adjust the bass through the factory head unit. I do not have a Bose system so I can not comment on how well the mix is and how well you can adjust with it. The kicker sub with the Vsspowerstage multi channel amp mixes nicely on my non nose system. Coming form lots of custom stereo builds in my other cars I would like more mixing flexibility but it works great for a plug and play and not modifying to fit anything.

I can't seem to locate any Harness adapters that fit they truck. What kind did you get?
