I want the kit for my 2016 Sierra Bose unit. I haven't been able to get a clear answer as to if it will work or not on this model. Any part number info would be deeply appreciated.

If you have Bose you'll only be able to get the Kicker with just the sub upgrade...without Bose you can get the amp/sub Kicker.

I believe it's because the Bose system comes with its own Amp? Don't quote me but this is what I've read.

It should work the same. I have it in my 14 with Bose and the site where i purchased mine it says it is compatible. It also has the lowest price i've seen

So your saying this system with just the kicker is for trucks that have the Bose system? You don't need the more expensive system with the amp because the Bose system already supplies enough power? Just need to clarify this before I purchase

It has its own 200w amp attached to it that powers it. It does not need anything else. It's Plug and play

I just installed this today. Ordered the 19303117 version for my 2016 LT Crew Cab. This is the Powered Sub and Amp. Took me about 2.5 Hours to install. Would have been quicker IF I had a hanger to route the wires through the Firewall. This and running the cables under the carpet were the hardest part. I watched many videos on how to remove trim radio, etc. Overall, I am happy with it. It does amplify all the other speakers too. Nice job Kicker!

I had the full kicker system installed two weeks ago in my 2016 Silverado and have to say that it really is a vast improvement over the stock system. Overall the sound is more crisp, clear, and "up front" with more powerful bass to complement it like advertised although the rear door speakers don't seem to do much. Like others have mentioned, the door chimes and turn signals are louder but not too bad--I've become accustomed to it now. The sound settings that others have discussed previously matches my experience as well, along with fading to the rear by +1.

One thing that kind of bothers me relates to the void in the mid range that is evident at times. For example, today I was listening to Ozzy's Boneyard and Motley Crue's "Piece of Your Action" happened to be on. The bass, drums, and vocals were great, but the guitar part was noticeably absent at key parts of the song--not even faint, just gone. I'm not sure if this is due to the compression of the music from Sirius XM, the limitations of my stock speakers, or the mix of Kicker's digital processor, but that song was definitely not being delivered to my ears the way it was intended or originally rendered by the artist (It was like Mick Mars took the day off or something).

Those of you who have added aftermarket speakers, do you ever experience this? For almost $1300.00 installed by the dealership, one would think this wouldn't be an issue, but without voiding the warranty on my new truck by doing other audio modifications or installing that $3500.00 Alpine system or something, this seems to be the only option to improving that muffled sound I hated with the original system.

I don't want to sound too critical because I realize the inherent limitations of the head unit and factory speakers, but after making a considerable investment in a new vehicle and the GM authorized "factory fix", I was a little disappointed today. I still think the Kicker Upgrade provides an impressive auditory experience, but it isn't perfect and it is rather pricey.

I see exactly what you mean. I had the opportunity to listen to some music today. I certainly like the improvement. Luckily for me, the cost was $880, self installed, and with an Amazon gift card to cover most the cost.

If it is of any interest after selling my 2015 LTZ with the non-Bose and getting a 2016 Yukon with the Bose setup, the Bose system is MUCH better. After 6 months of the non-Bose going to the Bose is a huge improvement. I could see sitting in the dealer lot for 5 minutes not noticing it but after living with this the Bose is so much better. Not trying to ruffle feather, just my opinion.

Try listening to music on an SD card vs using sir I used and see if you still have a problem with lost mid range. All I listen to is my SD card and I have no issues but I have heard complaints from people using Bluetooth. Maybe this is your issue also

I'll try various sources including CD - Oh wait, I don't own a single CD anymore. LOL. Didn't know there is an SD slot??

I just listened to the same Crue song off usb from a youtube download and the parts that were missing when I was listening to it off Sirius were present off the usb; in fact, it sounded great for an mp3 compression, so the music source obviously makes a big difference. I'll have to dig up some cds and try that out as well. I didn't know there was a slot for sd cards either...where is it?

Maybe a SD-USB adapter? I couldn't find it.

If you have a ceneter console non bench seat then you have USB and sd card slots! Edited by Alexantics
