OldDawg45 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 OldDawg45 where did you get your kit, and do you have crew cab I have a double cab and got mine off of eBay
Rawyzf Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 If you have a 2014+ GMC crew cab do not buy from IAMGMPARTS they are selling part #19303117 for a good price on Amazon at 876.00 bought it on 2-21-16 it arrived very quickly got it unboxed and noticed that it was missing wiring harnesses for the subwoofer portion of install notified them and actually called them and told them what I was missing they were nice and sent me harness from another kit turned out to be what I already had as it was for the head unit to under dash amp/dsp and I notified them back to let them know it's not what I needed, well they tell me that I must not know what I'm doing because everything I need is in box, so I called kicker and told them what I needed and that I will pay for it and they refuse to help me what a mess, fortunately I can return it but it's been a hassle so do not buy from IAMGMPARTS because you will most likely get a kit with missing parts item 19303117. PS kicker will not help you with any issues or warranty if you buy your kit from a GM parts outlet they claim it's OEM and kicker will have no part of it, they only stand behind if it comes from them directly, crutchfield, or a authorized local dealerKicker support was very helpful for me, and I bought mine used. UrbanRage Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Anyone dealt with this company? $699.95 for the system seems to good to be true. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Kicker-PSIEXT14-PowerStage-Subwoofer-Upgrade-Kit-for-2014-Up-Chevy-Silverado-GMC-Sierra-1500-2500-3500-Double-Cab-KIC16-PSIEXT14 Edited March 12, 2016 by UrbanRage
harveyfamily Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Is the wiring there no matter what? If so is there an aftermarket solution that can use the existing wiring?
B33tl3 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I have a new kit under the for sale topic if anyone is interested. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/184563-new-kicker-soundgate-for-sale/
Jason Riley Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Last I checked when you tapped into the wiring to install subs on any 6.2 you'd get feedback because of the active noise cancellation these trucks come with. Has there been any workaround this yet? Did you ever figure it out?
Jason Riley Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Anyone installed the sub kit only in a truck with Bose and a 6.2? How do you defeat the noise cancelling feature so it doesn't interfere with the sub? Did you figure it out, I'm having this very same issue.
EChavez Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Did you ever figure it out? Only workaround I've known of is cutting the microphone under the headliner in the rear of the cab. Not the greatest fix but I haven't seen any others.
Amiodynski Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I'll be pulling the kicker subwoofer with integrated amp out of my truck in the next week or sale and selling it along with other accessories. No damage, works great, and only reason I'm selling is I'm getting rid of the truck. $600 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
