What's the largest tire I can run on the 20's?

Did a search in this forum and didn't find the results I was looking for.. Have the stock tires on my 20 inch rims and after levelling the truck those big wheel wells look empty. I have a buddy who wants my stock tires and I'd like to replace them with a more aggressive looking tire but bigger with more sidewall.. Any ideas on what tire sizes I could go to without any rubbing, issues..

I have 305/55/20 stuffed under my 2.5 level. They rub against my gatorback mudflaps when wheel is cranked. Work fine otherwise.

  To make things simple, general rule of thumb is not to exceed 80% percent of manufacturer's stated max towing weight to avoid white knuckle driving and that is with a WDH.

  Oh, I see what you're saying now. The *combined* weight of everything being more than 2x the weight. The way you worded it made it seem like you were talking about the trailer itself being more than 2x the truck. At the end of the day, it's a figure of speech. If you're hungry, could you really eat a 900lb horse?No. If you were mad at someone, is a sane, reasonable, logical person really going to kill the other person? No. Does anyone really not notice a big camper behind them or that notice being 0%? No, of course not.

  The weight of the truck is included in the weight that is being moved. A 9k trailer more than doubles the weight that the drivetrain and brakes need to move and stop (7k+9k)>14k. And yes changing lanes with a 36' sail certainly is different than an empty truck. I don't think my math or reading comprehension are problematic on this one

  I can't say specifically for those options, for your truck, but in general, the answer is no. While you can buy the parts, install them, wire them up, so everything is installed, the truck isn't programmed to respond to those buttons, so it doesn't. And GM doesn't allow/sell updated programming to make them work. For some specific things, such as side mirrors and occasionaly a few other things, GM will provide new programming to make them work, but SWC is not one of those things (at least that I'm aware of). You really want to buy the truck, with the options you want already built into the truck.
