No. If you shut it off, it never comes back on until you turn it back on, even if that's months later.

Ran across this thread today. Just passing along in case you guys haven't seen it yet. I may end up going with non-OEM switches just to get it done.

Another one with an example and pics: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/155640-small-illuminated-switches/

Progress by anyone???

My switches arrived today. Gonna tinker with it this weekend and see where it gets me.

Here are some install pics. Haven't tested the switches yet as the lightbar comes tomorrow. But the BCM recognizes them.

How hard was the install? I'm thinking of doing this mood, should it work.

We should know tomorrow if it works.

It's way easy. Check out a video for 2014 Silverado radio install. It'll take you through it.

Remove the trim around the vents and center stack. (The vents will not come off. I recommend starting at the top and gently working your way around)

Once that's off, you'll see 6 plastic screws. I started top left and went clockwise. They're 5mm. I used a ¼ drive with extension.

The radio and hvac are held in by two clips at this point. On either side of the screen. A gentle pull will remove them.

Don't pull too much, as you'll need to remove a USB plug and 2 harnesses.

With that now out of the way, you'll see one screw in the middle of the switch panel, that was hidden by the stack. Remove it, unplug the two harnesses, and you are good.

Nice man! Can you share what part #(s) you ordered and where you found it? You're saying the BCM recognizes the switches because they light up when you push them? Trying to follow along cuz I know nothing about the electronics here.

What's behind the panel, a plug or what? And is the switch on the left of AUX1 just a blank and not really a switch?

Sorry for all the questions!

I was able to get a part number for the switches out of a 2015 that has seven toggles. I am going to order those and the "upfitter switches". I was also able to remove the individual switches and chrome seperator bits out of my current switch bank, it took a lot of effort but it is possible haha. So long story short I am going to steal the AUX1 and AUX2 toggles out of the upfitter unit and pop them into the unit from the 2015 in the Lane Departure and Exhaust Brake locations and then wire my light relays off of there. I'll get some pics up as soon as possible but I probobly wont have time until mid July. Apparently the switches are at least 10-12 business days away.

For anyone interested I did some research and there are 30 unique switch banks you can order, here's the list with the detais I know for certain:

23145157

23145158 (TC / Dome Light / Blank / AUX1 / AUX2 / AUX3 / AUX4)

23145161

23145162 (Pedals / TC / Dome Light / Park Assist / HDC)

23145163

23145169

23145170

23145171

23145172

23145183

23145184

23145185

23145186

23145190

23145191

23145193

23145195

23145196

23145197

23145198

23145199

23145200

23145202 (Pedals / TC / Dome Light / Park Assist / LDW / HDC / Exhaust Brake)

23145209

23145212

23145213

23145214

23145215

23145216

Has anyone been able to get more details here? I'll have the Pedals/TC/Dome/HDC and want to get the Upfitter also.

Please please please take pictures of how you wire everything up at the other end! This is amazing!

Bad news all. There is no way to get the upfitter switch to work. I reached out to GM Upfitters and they replied that "the truck does not have any of the required wiring, fuses, relays, or harnesses" The vehicle must have RPO code 9L7 in order for it to work.

See post #22. Sorry dude. It sometimes sucks to be the trail blazer. If you are creative you could still wire your own relays etc. to the switches.

We were thinking of trying to find out which pin gets power from the button push in order to flip a relay. Is that too mad scientist?

Ok, so here ya go. A pic of how you could use your uplifter switches. I'll assume the blue highlighted wires do not exist. Also a couple of PDF's of about anything electrical on a 2014 Silverado.

Terminals required are listed in the 110e PDF
