High Country Leveling Kit

I had a leveling kit on my 2012 LTZ and loved it. I think they look even better on the 2014s. I just got my High Country yesterday and I'm getting quotes of $600 to do the front leveling kit, which seems insanely high. I think I paid less than half that on my old truck. Someone mentioned that the high price has something to do with "how the High Country sits", which I don't understand.

 

Can anyone tell me if $600 is in the right ballpark for price and/or what the guy meant about the way a High Country sits?

A basic leveling kit should run no more than 150 installed.

There is no mechanical differences in the high country suspension vs a standard 4x4 or a z71. Just differently tuned shocks.

Any basic leveling kit can be done in a evening taking your time with simple tools and a floor jack.

You could always drop the back, with the blocks or shackles.

I lowered the back of my high country using shackles and they were about 30 bucks. took me about 2 hours and I was draggin ass the whole time.

sounds like they were giving you the high country "tax" rate... I bought my rc kit for like 60-70 and installed it in a few hours. do it yourself on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the hardest, it's a solid 2. but if you have no tools and no idea how to do jack-squat on a vehicle then go to a reputable shop and one that does not try to steal your money!

shoot $650 is what the shop charged to install my 7" lift so yeah total rip off
