I'm all for doing the impossible, but my objection is from another angle- Is the magnetic ride suspension really that much better? If when buying my truck it was offered as a $2000 option I probably would laugh in my salesman's face, probably same result for under a grand.

That's one of the things I said in another post. But even then, I also wonder if magnetic ride makes as much of a difference on a truck as it does in a car. I know in a car you feel the bumps more since it's stiffer suspension and is also less suspension travel I could be wrong, but I don't think mag ride makes as much of a difference in a full size truck. Also what happens if someone lifts the truck, would it even work like it's supposed to.

If the OP has money to burn any not just sell the outdated 2014 and get a 2015+ with all the bells and whistles plus the magnetic ride control?

Speaking of which, does anyone know the part numbers so I can retrofit tc, stability control, electronic brake distribution, and a 6 speed to my 2000 Silverado?

Totally worth it to upgrade the 2000. It's perfectly spec'd. Lol.

How is this thread still going?

The short answer to the OP's question is YES.

If you have the money, you can probably pay to have your truck retrofitted with a refurbished NASA Rocketdyne RS-25 and send it into orbit.

Let the OP spend his money however he chooses. There's already people on this forum that have put 50k into their 50k trucks, no one tries to talk them out of it because they want to see the finished product/something they will never do. I say, let this guy do the same.

Not sure why you would want any of those things. The traction control and tranny seem to be complained about a lot on here, lol.

I think you missed the sarcasm in the posters voice.

Feels like GMFS up in here...

Not enough f*ggot calling and g*y bro stuff to be considered GMFS quality.

How would the best/smoothest aftermarket shocks compare for ride quality and price?

What ones are the best?

I think a nice set of Bilsteins and airbags would be pretty decent.

Ive seen Koni shocks for trucks but has anyone ever used them? I can't even find real reviews. I wonder how they compare to the mid level Bilstein's or non-coilover Fox's?

Check with some vette forums. I know I heard people asking the same question there a few years ago when the c6's came out with mag-ride. I'm sure if someone figured it out it would be there. At least a starting point for you to see if its possible. Since they've been out longer there's been more time for people to try things. It was a fairly popular request a few years ago. Not sure if anyone actually did it but its worth looking into. On the trucks its so new theres not gonna be much info out there yet but on other models that have had it there may be more. Just a thought.

The only other part the OP is missing is the BCM programming. You cant go into the dealer now on the 2014+ trucks and say "please program my BCM to do XYZ" like you could on the previous generation trucks. The dealer has to put in your VIN which has to match the VIN in the other modules and then they flash the software that GM has on file for your VIN for that module.

So how do you please on getting around that part?
