I drove 3 GM 2015 1500 trucks today

I would love to see one of these flawless trucks. I have bought three 2014s and gave the dealer plenty of tries at fixing them. Never drove anything but a Chevy but this is f!@#ing ridiculous. So let me get this right. I believe the OP 100% . I do not believe anyone that claims to have a flawless 2014-15. Really? No vibes in the steering wheel or pedals? No shakes? No banging and clanging transmission? No clicking drivers seat? No undercoating peeling off and rusting frames? I could go on but you get the point. But let me point this out. The word is out on these trucks and in a few years when you want to sell or trade you will probably loose money because who wants to buy a Chevy Vibrato.

I only have about 3k on my 2014, but have not experienced any of the above mentioned issues that you mention….so far.

IMO, the original poster should bug the heck out of the dealer until he finds a rig that is perfect. That is a good chunk of change he is leaving on the table if he walks.

if you don't think there is any difference between the 6.2 and 5.3 you need your head examined.

there is no way you can not notice more then 100 hp and tq

personally after reading your post i suspect that between the time you ordered and the truck came in for delivery you mist have had a financial setback and your looking for an easy way out of the deal you started.

personally if i were trading out so quickly would have sold mine online and not made it part of the trade in. way too much profit for the dealer on a used vehicle that new. = less money in your pocket.

I had my 14 LT 2wd CC since May with only one problem. The only major problem was the steering went out and I took it in and it was fixed in 2 weeks. I wasn't happy about the time but the dealer put me in a 14 Impala for free. As far as the shake I found it was my tires. When I traded my 10 in I switched my 22s to my 14. There was a small shake in the truck after I changed the wheels that wasn't there with the factory 20s. So I took it to discount tire and rebalanced them and problem is fixed. The stick on weights seem to fall off when driving at high speeds plus I deployed two times while having the tires so I bet there is a small flat spot.

I find it hard to believe that so many people are having so much trouble with these trucks. The ride and style is so much better than my 10. My 10 had a wind noise that the dealer couldn't get rid of. Like the door was always open while driving. At least GM fixed that with these trucks. There will never be a perfect vehicle, some stuff you have to look past. If you can't then you need another brand.

The problem trucks are very few and far between. Biggest difference is people with issues go online looking for any sites and posts so they can complain about theirs and see if others have similar issues. Yeah, there are complaints, but Ford, Ram, Toyota and Nissan have theirs, too. Over 95% of these new trucks have been trouble-free (aside from recalls), but of the troublesome truck owners, over 95% find a forum to vent to. Nothing wrong with that, just the facts.

Wow, like I've always said, you are clueless!! "More then 100 hp" The 6.2L is 420 and the 5.3L is 355. If your going to make a point get the facts right first. Your all high and mighty with a 6.2L and are clueless of the HP.

The trade in assistance option was offered to me by GM!! I never asked them for anything other than to fix my 2014, and when they felt it wasn't possible I was offered trade in assistance to offset the depreciation.

Edit: and you say yours is SC'd 624hp, and I say you are full of it.

Edit: oh by the way, I don't need an easy way out, I just tell them I'm not trading and it's over, they offered me the deal to keep me in a GM product. Sooooooo clueless that it's almost funny. Yeah, almost!!

i have a 2015 6.2 with the 8 speed

i agree when the truck first came off the lot it seemed sluggish but what everyone one forgets is the engine has to break in everything is new.

i now have 194 miles and took it on the freeway today seem to get up and go much faster when i needed it to changing lanes on merging onto the freeway

accelerated from 40-85 quickly and when i hit the gas it dropped gears quick and took off and was smooth i couldn't feel i was going 85

i have a denali and ye there is a small gap by the dash but everything has flaws and to me its no big deal I'm sure its like that for the wheel tilt

if anyone has questions i will answer them the best i can

had a 14 denali and 15 denali I tried and can't feel the vibration idk maybe I'm lucky and don't have a bad truck but i not saying anyones right and wrong trucks can be lemons

I'm happy with mine, Hopefully you find a good truck 14LTZZ71 !!

Some people dont mind a little vibration. Some dont mind a few flaws in the fit and finish.

I can understand that. Kinda, live and let live, you know?

BUT, its not right to put down a man because he DOES mind that sorta stuff.

worst thread evarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :M16:

But seriously to OP. Now you are just looking for issues. And that will drive you crazy because every vehicle you drive will have issues. Nothing is perfect.

But hey, it's your money, continue stimulating the economy by just blowing it.

When I bought my truck, I was paranoid about getting a problematic truck that vibrated. I test drove it when it came in and didn't feel anything so I bought it. I figured that if I had problems, warranty would look after me.

For the first month or so, every little sound it made worried me. Whether it was an odd pop in the dash when the truck was cold, to a small clunk on deceleration when it was new. The clunk has gone away after 1000 km.

The roads in Saskatchewan make every vehicle rattle a bit and vibrate and I can say that this truck has less rattles and vibrations than any vehicle I've driven on these crappy roads.

The only slight issue I have noticed in the last couple days is that in the cold (-15C) the back window(?) seems to crackle/rattle a bit. Also when the fan is on full blast on my feet, my brake pedal vibrates slightly. Anyone have a fix for those?

Come on over to my house and I'll show you one. Actually, I'll show you 2; because my neighbors doesn't vibrate or shake either. I've had mine a year, my neighbor has had his a year and a half; neither have any rust. Clicking driver's seat? Mine is sturdy and makes no sound. Transmission is butter smooth. I can barely tell when it shifts it's that smooth. Sh*t, I even get 23 mpg on the highway!

Oh, I do have a weird spot of paint on my door. I guess mine isn’t 100% flawless then……..

Better trade it in and get a new one. That is so bourgeoisie.

Oh ya I guess I had a weird spot in the paint too when I picked it up, thinking it would wash out after a week or so. It didn't. Phoned my dealer and he told me to bring it in, they took care of it right away for free. I consider that pretty good service considering it was 2 weeks after I picked the truck up and for all they know I could've caused the blemish myself

I drove a 14 All Terrain 250 miles for a weekend truck seemed to be flawless, went with salesman to the "other" lot to grab anothe rtruck for me to check out amd this thing shake rattled and rolled after 45mph, I could not believe it, not sure the cause, maybe tires unbalanced?

I am too concerned over all the issues, here is my thought thou,no one goes online to sing praise, but to scream about issues all day everyday, when i bought my home furnace i spent a week on the PC looking at rating and comments, holy crap my eyes were bugging outta my head, Bottom line a lot of complaints, then i finally figured no one will go online and praise, that takes time, but to go online and complain and look and c if someone else just might be having a similar issue, thats easy,

Till this day i still have not gone on and wrote a good review like I said i would,

My concern for this new truck is just how many issues there are, lets be honest usually there are some, (rear end yolk) that stuff does not scare me, its the electronic stuff that scares me, not like I can just pop in a new head unit any more :nonod: o but the touch screen is so cool!!!!!

I actually mind both, but my truck doesn't suffer from either. It's not right to call me a liar because my truck doesn't have any of those problems.

My dealer can tell you how much I mind little things, I've been in there about once a week, every week, since June to complain to them about the squealing brakes on my Duramax.

    • I agree, simplicity and reliability matter more as vehicles get more complicated. A V8 work truck option with fewer electronic features and a stronger warranty would definitely appeal to a lot of buyers who use their trucks for real work. Customizing it with trusted outfitters is often the best way to get exactly what you need.webcrimsNY
    • I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.
    • Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.
    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
