I drove 3 GM 2015 1500 trucks today

Ive only got 1000 miles on my 2014 Silverado with the 5.3 but I dont have any shakes, vibrations or any problems with my truck, runs like a top but I guess time will tell.

 

If I have any complaints at all it would be that my truck is almost too quiet, damn near puts me to sleep driving it....

 

Ya I couldn't stand how quiet it was. I felt embarrassed that my buddy's completely stock 06 Sierra was a tad louder than mine. But, I easily fixed it with a Super 44 single in/dual out and only had from the muffler back taken out (left all 3 cats alone) and it sounds great. There is a V4 drone, but I don't mind it sense it sounds kind of like an engine brake on an 18 wheeler.

Yea im thinking of getting some sort of axle back system or just replacing the muffler with something that I can at least hear a little bit of that 5.3...

If you don't want it that loud then it would be easiest to just replace the muffler. Someone on here also just did a muffler delete and it sounds pretty good. Behind the muffler is a resonator and I had to have that off since that seemed to be what made it so quiet. I love loud and aggressive so that's why I had everything from the muffler back and had a Super 44 put in. Sounds crisp and loud without sounding like sh*t like a glasspack. I do want headers in the future though.

GM is talking about the quiet cab which it is. But, part of the quietness is the quiet exhaust so that does play a role. It's not a bad thing since some people just don't want to hear the engine and if you like some sound you'll mod the exhaust anyways.

Correct Chevrolet is talking about how quiet the interior cab is, I just want a little V8 rumble. Ive seen a couple of axleback systems but I aint paying no damn $700 for one, thats ridiculous, I will end up getting a different muffle I suppose.

Don't buy a kit, just go to a good shop that's good with exhaust. I paid less than half that for a Super 44 with dual out tailpipes that exhaust behind each wheel at 45° (including labor also so not talking about just parts). I even got black chrome tips. The pipes aren't manual bent, but that's not a big issue for me.

Huh? Max trailer is 3.73. Other options are 3.08 and 3.42. Never heard of 3.23 for 2014

Those with problems are more vocal than those without. Haven't had any issues with mine except for the transmission shifting hard from time to time. No vibration at all.

Mine did shift a little hard sometimes at first, but it was right after buying the truck so I'm thinking it just needed to be broke in.
