Well if the OP has moved onto a RAM, maybe he can quit complaining about how bad GM has become, but I doubt that will be the case. I mean who wants to come to a forum and read about a truck you no longer own and have to relive the many problems it has.....how can you ignore when you look on the side of the road and see nothing but Silverado's parked on the side of the road with the flashers on waiting for a tow truck....I digress, I hope you find happiness and automotive bliss over on the RAM forums. RAM makes great trucks, here's to many years and many miles of trouble-free driving.

You won't be the only one not buying a new GM again. After all the problems with my Wife's Cruze, and now mine is acting weird sometimes I'm done buying from them. Resale is so horrible on them we can't even get rid of the damn things. I've been diehard GM my whole life, but no more. Really disappointing.

I quit buying GM cars when the impala went front drive. The Camaro and the GM trucks and big SUVs have been rated highly reliable. The new Impala has just been rated very reliable. As much as a buy American guy I am, over the years on the mid sized front drive stuff I have been buying the over seas brands.

Funny my 14 denali has zero issues and runs 9.1 stock in the 1/8th. Has plenty of power. You should have never got a 3.23 rear gear.

You get 2 choices with the 6.2L, 3.23 come standard and 3.42 only if you get the NHT Max Trailering Package, which I don't think is available yet.

I quit buying GM cars when the impala went front drive. The Camaro and the GM trucks and big SUVs have been rated highly reliable. The new Impala has just been rated very reliable. As much as a buy American guy I am, over the years on the mid sized front drive stuff I have been buying the over seas brands.

I've had an Impala out of each of the last 3 body styles. We are really enjoying the '14, and I (but not the better half) loved the 3rd to last body style one. We still have family running the '06, it's been just ok.

Next time you're in the Raleigh area, hit me up. You can come drive mine. No shakes, no vibrations, no seat movement, no clicking noises, no rusty frame. The only problem I had was the radio reception issue and it seems to have cleared itself up or been remedied by one of the recall flashes.

That's an open invitation for anyone that thinks the K2 trucks are crap. I'm not doubting that some might be, but mine certainly isn't.

I stay in eastern nc and haven't had any trouble with my 14 slt 4x4 either. Smooth and no shakes whatsoever.

I own a 2014 and have a 2015 with the 6.2 in transit. Overall I'm happy with these new trucks, but I respect the OP's right to post his feelings on these trucks. I like my Chevy trucks, but I'm not a fan boy, so I don't get my feelings hurt when someone says something negative.

Kinda skeptical you drove three trucks and they all vibrated.. Especially 2015 models. Just sayin.

I drove three 2015's and two vibrated and I am currently driving one that has 1500 miles. It vibrated at first but they fixed it with a wheel balance. I have driven 8 2014's and all of the vibrated. The crew cab long box is the worst and the double cabs are the best but they all vibrated. I think some people feel it and others do not. When my wife drove my 2014 she never noticed the vibration until I pointed it out to her and then she felt it every time.

I've had an Impala out of each of the last 3 body styles. We are really enjoying the '14, and I (but not the better half) loved the 3rd to last body style one. We still have family running the '06, it's been just ok.

The new impalas haul ass and look good. Id been buying Hyundai for the last 4 cars the wife drives. The last one is the Geneses, kinda reminds me of my last 94 implala SS. We kept that and a 94 Z28 for 7 and 10 years. In about a year I will be looking at the impala first and may be all GM again.

Sorry to hear about the Cruze, what issues have you had with it?

As far as resale goes, the compact segment it tough on trade value unless fuel prices spike way up.

Mentioned a couple months ago about my Moms 2005 Malibu. That car cost less than the average monthly television cable bill over 10 years

not including tires/oil changes etc. Had she tried to trade it off back when it as a year or two old am sure it would have been a

disaster in terms of monetary loss. No issues to mention with her 2014 Malibu she replaced it with at the end of September.

Was listening to an interview with GM CEO Mary Barra about all the technology coming down the pipeline. She mentioned they expect over the next 10

years that cars industry wide(all mfg's) are going to leap forward much faster than before in terms of the technology that will be available. That tells me

buyers are going to really have to pay attention to the market or at least be happy with their purchase for the long term.

Huh? Max trailer is 3.73. Other options are 3.08 and 3.42. Never heard of 3.23 for 2014

He's quoting axle selections for the 2015 6.2L with the 8 Speed Transmission

Well the main problem now is the surging. It constantly surges on bigger hills and over mountains. Dealer says they cannot duplicate the problem, but that's going to change since I'm stuck with this turd. I'm going to call, and talk to them about having the service manager drive it for a few weeks to see what it's doing. A coworker says it sounds like a bad torque converter to him, but idk?

Other problems have been two bad PCV Valves within 30k miles, Oil in the TB due to a bad check valve in the intake manifold. Manifold was replaced, and they found the check valve wasn't even there anymore. Was told oil would still seep through for a while because there is no way for them to clean out the intercooler... I call BS.

The brakes are complete garbage. It's like they don't bite at all. The rear drums apparently do nothing because at 70k miles they look like they have barely worn the shoes, and I've kept them adjusted. Mine acts the same way at 15k miles. Any little use of the brakes for a decent amount of time results in brake shake, and it sounds like your running over rumble strips. It's ridiculous.

Then there's the mirror covers on the sun visor that broke, and my Wife hardly even used them. The bad exterior trunk switch that died just out of warranty because GM failed to seal it off from the weather. Then on mine it pulls stunts like it's misfiring. Jerks the car around, and the rear suspension rattles on cold days. These cars are the worst we've ever owned.

I understand everything has been fixed under warranty, but these things are unacceptable. The surging problem needs figured out. I'm not paying a huge repair bill out of warranty because they blew me off on figuring out the problem before hand. Every new GM I have bought has had garbage brakes. You shouldn't have to buy a brand new vehicle, and turn around, and put brakes on it because their garbage. Every new GM had shaking front brakes beginning around the 12k mile mark. Only one that didn't was the 6.2L pickup, and it had rear disc while all these others have rear drums. Tells me something right there. GM needs to get out of the stone age and drop these ancient rear drums.

Ive only got 1000 miles on my 2014 Silverado with the 5.3 but I dont have any shakes, vibrations or any problems with my truck, runs like a top but I guess time will tell.

If I have any complaints at all it would be that my truck is almost too quiet, damn near puts me to sleep driving it....
