Does anyone know what packages have the option for PnP like pgamboa? I have an LT All Star with heated bucket seats. Is there an RPO? I’d imagine not because they would probably actually put on the heated wheel if they gave my truck the RPO code. 

No. Sadly GM was consistent about being inconsistent with when they landed all the wiring and plugs and didn’t.

i use mine a lot. it only takes about 3 minutes to get too hot to hold, so i turn it off after that.   its funny how awesome the steering wheel warmer is and how terrible the seat warmers are.

I never thought I'd need a heated steering but now that I have one I would not want to live without it! Truly awesome in Alaskan winters..

My clock spring doesn't look like yours. Where do I get a connector to fit this? 2018 Sierra 1500

Of all the mods I’ve added to my truck, the heated steering wheel has been amazing. It gets pretty chilly here, and I believe it’s one of the most worth while mods out there.

I have a connector present for heated steering in my 2018 LT Silverado but there is a connector plugged into it running up to the clock spring. I dont have heated steering wheel equipped.

That’s not the one. If I recall... that connector is for the shift lever or the turn signal lever.

Just double checking before I buy the clock spring.  My truck is a 2018 LT with heated leather seats..  I ordered an 84353110 steering wheel and it looks like for my 2018 that I need 84186645 clock spring.  That is for the 2018 LT with heated wheel 2nd design.  I already have the 7.5A fuse in the fuse panel so hopefully that means the connector is powered down below...  

 

Do that look like the right part number for the clock spring?  Anyone with a 2018 that can confirm that part number?

Just FYI....on my 2016, I had the fuse in place, but the connector was not live.  I was missing a connection between the two blocks and had to run a wire. Yours may be hot....but it really seems to be hit or miss.  My truck is an LTZ with heated/cooled leather, memory seats, almost every option other then sensors and sunroof and my connector was not hot.

I read through a bunch of this thread and saw that.  I will have to check today and see if the connector is hot..  I already looked and the connector is there....

GM being consistent about being inconsistent. Lol. I don’t know. Lol. Maybe end of life on the old connector. Happens all the time. I guess I better stock up on the old connector. [emoji23]

So I have a new clock spring (23381964) for my 2018 and apparently won’t connect to my truck Phil. Does your harness plug into this “old” clock spring and into my 2018?

      Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....

      Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!

      From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

Upgrades: replaced 'steelies' w/  Vision "Flow" black alloys,  17x8.5"; HDX nerf bar w/steps (black powdercoat); Weatherguard large/deep alloy saddle toolbox; Michelin fitted bedmat (sale, perfect fit) Weathertech door sill guards TBD: rear wheebox liners 4x black fender arch trim - searching for best  (Putco: chrome only; not looking for flares either!) -Bill

      True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
