2800 lumens? No thanks. That's a step back from the LMZs which are 4500 lumens each.

Capable of 3600lms though... whatever that means lol. The only thing I could think of these being better is maybe a better way the light is dispersed....

That's the only thing I could think would make them better. Since they have 360* light dispersal. I think that "capable of 3600 lumens" must be if you run them at the highest voltage capability.

Yeah maybe... I'm still interested in seeing them though. But I'm with you, probably a downgrade from our lmz's

Has anyone successfully installed the LMZ 's in a Silverado and been able to keep the DRL function?

I wonder if these will fit under the factory caps.

The LMZs will fit under the factory caps but just barely, you'll put pressure on the wires coming from the cooling fins + you'll leave no air for the fan to pull to cool the fins

EDIT:

These new bulbs look to be the same size at the LMZs but with the large grommet that comes with them, you can probably drill a decent size hole in the OEM cap and use the grommet to seal it back up. Will just have to find a way to run the wires outside of the housing. PM me if you want some ideas to run the wiring outside as I have a drawings/ideas from the other day cause I started thinking of that grommet could be used with the LMZs so the cooling fans can be put outside the caps

Do you know by chance if you lose your DRL by installing these?

I have the SLT headlights so I have the LED DRLs (haha even if I didn't have SLT heads I guess you could still say I would have LED DRLs) (but back to the question), I know one guy I've talked to on Instagram has tried to put these (the LMZs) in his buddy's 2014 SLE with no success. I told him they will likely need a wire harness so they ordered one that same day and now are trying to find the will power to drill into the caps!

I will update when I hear from him if it worked or not.
