vled LMZ led headlights

So when I get the BCM flashed and new bulbs, when I swap the Volsa's out with these again, they won't change at all? Damn! I know at some point I'll retro some sort of assembly with hid, trucks still too new for me to really wanna cut them open right now lol. These are a great improvement for plug-n-play and reliability (so far).

The only thing it might change is that you might not need the relay harness to drive HIDs anymore. I am sure the updated removes the PWM (Pulsed power, this is why HIDs flicker, filament bulbs stays warmly lit)

Thanks man. I took one electric class in school (ac/dc circuitry I think) but can't remember shit from it since it was an elective and about 7 years or so ago. I just remember building circuit boards and having fun with multimeters lol.

I just know the PWM thing because I was really not inclined to install a relay just for the ballasts to work.

What's everyone's thoughts on this style LED for low beams? I have a Silverado with the reflector style headlights. Is there any reason I couldn't run something like this.

That chip looks like the XM-L2 and is only rated for about 1500 lumens I think. Not enough for a main headlight if you ask me.

It's my intention to get eagle eye repro projector beams for my silverado and do some kind of.. light.. for it. I don't know yet. I don't really want to go HID because they're expensive and.. well I hate them. (I got burned bad by cheap chinese HIDs about 7 years ago.)

I think stock halogens are 1800 -2000 per side. OEM HIDs are by far the best at this point. Those eagle eyes with the RX350 projector (or other oem) and OEM ballasts and bulbs while a little pricy, is the most reliable and best performance you can get at the moment in my opinion.

I don't have them on me, but I think they are about a 1/2" hole that you drill to place them on. I was planning on modifying my factory covers with PVC caps and plastiwelding them in. I planned to put 2 of those patches on the new cap and then one somewhere else on the housing. I do plan to stuff everything inside the housing... ballast, wiring, and all. Hopefully it will allow some of the heat to vent and also hopefully keep them from fogging up from the inside.

That's exactly what I did, since Jon A's printer took a dump a while back. I cut the center off the factory covers and added a PVC cap. Simple mod, hopefully it holds up. Took me about 1 hour to complete. If you take your time I'm sure they can come out way better than mine. All wires are inside the housing. Factory airbox went back on without any issues or rubbing on PVC cap.

LMZ bulbs works with the stock power PWM. And the ballasts actually fit within the housing. I am betting that is what he did. No relay harness required

They slide in under the projector along with all wiring with some room to spare.

Yes ballast an all wires are inside the housing. The factory covers were cut just enough so that the pvc caps fit nice n tight. Adhesive was applied to hold everything in place.

Very cool. I wonder if that applies to the silverado too. I'm yet to get my hands on a projector headlight to see.

I tried to find the BCM flash tech infor go give to my dealer. I have an appointment on Friday for my Leveling kit to be installed and would like to have this done at the same time. WHen I called them and asked, they could not find anything...
