I tried to find the BCM flash tech infor go give to my dealer. I have an appointment on Friday for my Leveling kit to be installed and would like to have this done at the same time. WHen I called them and asked, they could not find anything...

Thanks in Advance!

Prolly won't happen as the document states new bulbs and flash must be done at the same time. I've been waiting on bulbs for couple weeks now and wasn't able to talk them into just the flash when I went in for an oil change Tuesday. Look in the headlight illumination issue thread it has updated doc numbers and part numbers. I'm on my phone and lazy or I would try and send you the link to the thread.

The only TSB for BCM flash and bulbs that I've seen is for the GMC. Is there one for the Silverado also?

TX_AT what size caps are those and how much did you cut off?

Thanks

They are 1 1/2" Charlotte Pvc end caps and I cut off approximately 1/2 inch.

I spoke with my service manager at my local dealer, and he said there wasn't a TSB yet on the Silverado. He knew of the Sierra issues, and commented that there is a TSB on the new Corvette headlights as well.

I'd think the BCM on gmc and chevy are the same but maybe not exactly. Guess we need to all complain at the dealer

I haven't heard too many complaints from Chevy owners, are they bad?

I had to do a warranty claim today, and pleased to say they responded in a matter of hours stating a new one is being shipped out.

Your VLED had an issue? What went wrong?

I'm ended up trying out the JDM Astar H11s 4th gen from a few post back. They're actually rated at 2000 lumens ea so plenty bright enough as a low beam. I did have to grind the big tab down a little in order to get the bulb oriented horizontally. I've had them for about 2 weeks now and so far I'm actually pretty impressed with them for $80. Everything fits under the stock cap as well. This is the only pic I have with them. Kinda tough to get one that really shows the color they put out. They're probably pretty close to 5000k hid with just a hint of blue.

I use a particular brand of led headlights that has everything built into the bulb itself. Plug n play, and cheaper

One of the bulbs when turned on glowed a blue "Halo style". When I shut them off and turned it back on, it was dead.

That sounds like either shorted or over heated.

Or the ballats is not outputing power right, too low will cause the blue

It's in my Fog light housing... I swapped in the drivers fog light bulb in the passengers place since it's a pain in the ass to get to it.. I'm hoping it lasts and was a fluke

What do you mean? You swapped the bulb and both are working now? Or you are hoping the replacement will last?

I have in my fogs too, but canada cold. I have zip tied them hard to the housing so no water is going in. I have also used PTFE tape around the thread for maximum seal
