vled LMZ led headlights

Id say the difference is, if they are true to their words, would be the lifespan and warranty possibly. Lmz are rated for 30k hours or 35k hours lifespan If I recall.

If that is true, then I'd spend 250+ replacing regular headlights in that amount of time.

Not to argue with you BUT the ones I purchased are rated to 50k hours and come with a 2yr warranty.

My point is that a lot of people are getting ripped off, IMO, for some lights that are not even compatible with SLE and Chevy trucks that offer no benefit over a less expensive brand that is compatible.

It may be just the name we paid for I can't argue that 50k hours haha. Like Nike vs new balance, paying for a name and not necessarily quality. I just got them as they were the first ones I saw someone install and have always had good experience with their other products. I can't argue the price wasn't high either bc it was. Do you have any night shots from inside the truck for comparison?

I don't have any inside the truck, my windshield was dirty so I didn't take any of those lol!!

You need a capacitor to filter out the PWM, and use that clean signal to drive a relay and power the LEDs

Thank you for the response. I was hoping for truly plug and play, but wiring up a harness won't kill me.

On the DRL note, my DRLs work fine with the LMZ bulbs on the low beams. Silverado LTZ. I usually turn them off though, I never liked the "low beam DRL". I'd much rather have oracle halos there, but I still haven't thought of a way to wire those in in a way they'll come on instead of the low beams. I don't even know if that's possible, actually. On my 2004 BMW I installed halos and paid the dealer to code the DRLs off (the high beam bulb was used for day running on the BMW).

On another topic though, has anyone had any experience with LED bulbs for the tail lights and parking lamps? I wanted to go with VLED but at $90 a pair they're ridiculously expensive.

I have my front signals smoked too much but the V3s still shine through pretty well

I liked the look of the Anzos a lot better than the Recons (and the price). I pulled the trigger on a pair of red and clear ones, should be here next week. $318 shipped (cheapest I could find). I'll follow up with pics and review later, thanks for the suggestion! Beats spending the same money to just add Tritons and resistors.

As for your Tritons, what resistor setup do you have in the front? I think I'll need to double it as I have a pair of bulbs per side.

Yes, they fit without a problem under the dust covers.

They are awesome lights, the LMZ's seem like a rip off if you ask me... Not sure how they can charge $250 for basically the same light and it's not even compatible for CanBus! I guess its because people will buy them so why not charge that amount right.

The ones I got are also CREE lights, not some cheap LED chip.

The V3 tritons come with their own resistors. They have a ballast with built in resistor, you just have to put in a 5A fuse inline but it comes with the fuse and inline fuse holder. All you have to do is put it in and resistor will work.

Do you have a link by chance to these? I just see the turn signals the parking light ones on their site. I must be missing them.

Never mind, I see the LMZs instead.

I'm curious how these compare, Still waiting for these down the road shots for comparison of throw and beam pattern...you've got windshield wiper fluid, right? Lol!
