So with these lights in Sierra's we lose the high beams?

Also, without sounding disrespectful, but Sawyer_Dowell, how come your truck is leaning back like that?

No, these lights still work with the high beams. lol i've got to change my pic. probably the 4th time ive gotten that. the reason for the squat is b/c i was on a hill and a had a little load in the bed of my truck. The truck still sits about a half inch to a inch higher in the rear on level ground. no squat to the truck.

Can yall post pics of how the bulb is oriented? Like, pull the bulb out of the housing and show how it looks after yall adjusted? I plan to do that with mine later after I adjust mine to how I think the cut off and output are the best that they can. It'll help take the guess work out for those who get these bulbs in the future.

I oriented my bulbs like the pics Jon A has on the other thread of his install. One of the "fins" on the base has an arrow. I pointed the arrow to the right for driver and had the adapter screwed all the way down toward the back of the bulb. From there I turned it about 2.5 turns until it was oriented like the photo in Jon's post. The screw that holds the adapter in is at about a 45 angle from the arrow to the bottom side of it fully screwed on. Once the 2.5 turns it will end up about where it is in Jons post. Once you get your hands on them it will make more sense. I think I pointed the passenger side arrow fin to the left as it was oriented opposite of the driver if I pointed it to the right.

haha ok cool.

So for the lights, I assume it's going to be the 9006 collar? And what temp are the DRL? I'd think 5000K LED's would be a closer match.

And the man to reach for the new covers is who again? Lol sorry, I've been reading like 3 different headlight threads at the same time and I got lost like it was Inception or something.

Yea you'll need the 9006 collar.

I went with the 5k and I think Mike did too, Sawyer may have got the brighter ones. It's a pretty close match to me, I'll try and get some good shots of them, but my only camera is the iPhone 6+ and the pics just turn out as a big blur of light all together haha.

For covers you'll need to search for member Jon A and send him a message.

Yes, 9006 collar. i got the 6000k but i was trying to match my Rigid fogs. but i would still suggest 6000k, i think they'll match better. Jon A is the member making the covers. just send him a PM

Pretty excited about these lights, I have been reading a bunch on all the lighting options on the sierras. I have an SLE, are these a plug and play job for the most part. Do i need to purchase anything other then the kit? Will they work with the SLE, I do not have the led running lights as im sure you all know. Lastly, is there any reason you chose these over the Lifetime LED's???

They are plug and play but I don't think anyone has found a solution for the ones without the LED DRL strips. As far as the lifetime LEDs, I've never even seen them lol. I figured about any LED is close to a lifetime haha!

I was just looking and the 5k is a very slightly brighter hue than the DRL but not much, I'd say it's your closest match.
